What this team needs is a good offensive D-man. And McD is not what im talking about. ST Louis got Shattenkirk, Flyers got Streit, Islanders got Vis, Carolina got Sekera, Maple Leafs got Liles and what do we got? MDZ =turnover machine?

Its Torts fault. He only cared about size and defensive game. We dnt have one ****ing D With Magic hands. Even Winnipeg got better offensive Ds than us. Nash and MDZ for Shattenkirk!

The defence up and down is the problem tonight. Stralman, Girardi combine in the box for the 3rd and 4th goal. McDonagh fumbles the puck twice, Del Zotto is a mess out there, Falk doesn't know how to defend but is great at taking himself and an opposing player out of the play in the defensive zone, and Moore has been inconsistent and choppy as ****.

People are overreacting about Lundqvist. Sure, he's entered the MA Fleury zone, but it's obviously mental. He has zero confidence, he is fighting every shot, and his ego has taken a massive hit.

The talk about buyout is stupid. Why buy him out when you could at least trade him. They wont win any trade involving Lundqvist, so why bother.

Yikes.

Losses are good news at this point though. We should be rooting for results that don't delude the management into thinking this team is a contender.

Is it ok to admit I'm actually rooting for the Rangers to lose at this point so that changes will be made? I did that in the waning days of Renneys tenure... I think AV needs to go quite honestly. Cuz we can't trade the whole team and I see no moves that make this atrocity any better. Let's look at our big contracts. Nash= trash and untradeable. Lundqvist= I'm truly worried and NMC. Richards= beaver buy out.
At this point we should ride Lundys moldy cheese streak and tank like we all know is necessary in order to draft real talent. Seriously, this could not be a better time to tank, with Cally injured and UFA. Girardi UFA. Team playing lost under a coach that has professed to need a roster overhaul. Trade G and Captain Crunchy at the deadline. Let Boyle walk. Trade DZ for a 35th rd pick in 2025. Resign Stralman. Resign Zuc. Keep Kreider, McD and Hags. Get Stepan hair implants and skating lessons.
Draft high and put something together that doesn't horrify children and make puppies cry tears of blood...

I agree that Hank has been sub-par this season, but the sensationalism going on is insane. I begin to wonder if elite play for 7 seasons is actually outweighed by half a season of medicore play.

Also, I don't think his next contract kicks in until next season, does it?

Laviolette is out there without a job.

He might at least try to force a bit more of a forecheck game. You'd think they'd learn that pressure causes them to cough up the puck, ESPECIALLY AT HOME. Why the hell the Rangers don't pressure the puck carrier is beyond me.

Don't really know what's left to say...

The 4th line looked pretty good, both Boyle and Dorsett seemd to have a spark tonight, they need it more often.

The defence from 1-6 was just a mess all night.

None of our big names are standing up yet again, it's been the story of the season.

I thought Miller looked pretty good early, but didn't notice him much late, did he get much ice-time in the 3rd?

I don't know what the answers are for this team, but I don't think they are currently in the locker-room

Hank this, Hank that.

Everyone on this team sucks. But out of all of them, I'd say that Hank has the best chance of bouncing back this season or next. Everyone else, well, they just don't have the talent.

Lundy has a full NMC doesn't he?

I Lundy as the second coming of Luongo..seriously

We traded coaches..now let's try goalies

The best thing for this franchise is to dump the veterans and play guys like kristo, lindberg, mcilrath, and fast for the next two seasons. Get them experience and if we're really fortunate stumble into a couple of franchise forwards in the draft.

They will never be even close to good enough to carry this team. Sorry but this team is screwed.

Stop ******** on Henrik in the most ass backward fashion. He's not playing well for the first time in his career, most of which stuck with our mediocre team and now that he has 25 bad games, everyone wants to ship him and trade him and jokes of buying him out and ******** on his well earned overpayment?

So true.

Hey guys! Don't worry! it's just preseason, right?

When I was a kid, i had the option of picking the Devils or Rangers as a team. At that time you had to pay for sportschannel, while MSG came with basic cable. My parents refused to pay for an additional package just so I could watch hockey. I curse their decision at this moment as I am, very sadly, a die-hard rangers fan.

It's honestly painful hockey to watch. They make fundamental mistakes that would get a beer league player benched.

Einstein said something to the effect that insanity is repeating the same task over and over again expecting a different result. It's the Rangers credo. Develop promising players > trade for "star" > overpay players > let important roleplayers go.

God I'm ****ing tired of it...

Rangers fans are either way too high on hank or way too low on him. Both sides are ridiculous. If you say he hasn't sucked this year, you are dumb. If you are talking about a buyout for hank, you are also dumb.
