Why do posters insist on adding Sundin in with the greatest players ever? He never won crap and every 4th game he would be invisible. Sure he was a PPG player....barely, but he was a PPG player when the top guys were getting 120 or more.

You guys have brainwashed yourselves into thinking Sundin was this awesome player. He wasn't. He was the best on the Leaf team and that's not saying much.

- 28th all-time in points
- highest scoring Swedish player of all time
- listed in the top 100 greatest players ever from execs, media, and NHL alumni 100 Greatest NHL Players

Sorry, but I have to disagree. In his 13 years he only made the playoffs like what....6 or 7 times? This guy was recognized because he was the best player on a crappy team. He is this years Nylander. Soft like a little fluffy bunny rabbit.

The 99-04 Leafs were hardly crappy teams.

Comparing him to Nylander is downright laughable.

And? The really good players create line mates and help them get better. Good players do that.

I think you have him confused with someone else.

The team who plays without a heart beat managed to win today.... yay!
Has this team quit on Babcock or is this just what we are?

Even when they win they get a lot of heat from Leafs Nation.

I don't think fans are connecting with this Leafs team in a very positive way just yet.

Usually, winning fixes everything. Here, we might need to see some more winning before hearts and minds are won over.

So far, this has not been a very likeable team for one reason or another.

No. Quite simply no this team is not.

I really want to, but I can hardly think of one player that I tune in to see.

This is a very mediocre, soft, effortless team. I'm already missing games because they give me nothing.

That lousy Ron Wilson (post-Sundin era) stunk, but at least they didn't cheat you for effort. Same with Babcock's first year with TOR. They ended up dead last, but they never didn't care or try.

I never know which key guy on TOR takes the night off, but it seems like they all take their turn. Sometimes all at the same time.

The way this team is built it seems like they might struggle to reach the post-season. That's awful when you consider how well everyone is getting paid and how little the cap allows adjustments.

I think might have more fun this season watching the NYR re-build. Ok maybe not, but I'm suffering here. This Leafs team has no one to cheer for.

I'm not sure what these people are talking about. Sundin was amazing. Guy was clutch, 11th all time in game winning goals. Was a beast down low, behind the net. 23rd all time in goals.

Players were more likable pre-cap when no one knew how much they made.
Players then were judged on how they played, conducted themselves not by how much cap they took up.

Ok let's just say that this is a reality: we don't know what everyone is making including the equipment manager. Do we still tune in to cheer for this lifeless bunch of hacks?
