It's a pretty low bar when it comes to hockey broadcasting. NBC is literally paying Pierre McGuire to talk on National television.

McGuire is awesome. He can be annoying to some, I get that, but he is amazing at dissecting the play and has a very strong knowledge of the game. He's spectacular, imo.

Sportsnet's people as a whole are pretty bad but Millen takes the cake. He is moronic, has a weak voice and doesn't know shit about hockey for a guy who's played and watched it his entire life.

She's brutal. I'm guessing they are having her on to try and get a larger female audience. There are many commentators who are more knowledgable/ better on air than she is so I don't see why else they would have her on the broadcast.

There are also many complete trash male commentators with jobs. I'd rather some female representation that suck at their job than some males that suck at it too.

Always liked Cassie and was glad to see her move on to Broadcasting after her career, something we don't often see with women players. However she was not well suited to NHL games, much better for Women's and International events. I think her warts are easier to overlook if you have some sentimental connection to her.

she knows loads about sports, not just hockey, she'd be perfect for her (Cassie's) job.

6th year for her on NHL on the fly now, by far my favorite of that show.

This sort of social justice nonsense is part of what is holding back some great analysts/commentators, female ones too. Since there are some shit male commentators, we should allow some shitty females to keep their jobs forever too! I say fire all the garbage announcers regardless of gender. The old boys club in the booth needs to be shattered, and not by appointing the Cassie Campbells of the world. There are plenty of young people who could do great work in those spots.
