oh I know why she is there, you would think that they would find a women that you know actually knew more about the NHL game of hockey and could speak effectively about it on TV in a way that makes some sense. Unfortunately that is not the case.

I don’t really mind her that much, but her lack of excitement has a tone that’s reminiscent of a colour commentator like you’re watching equestrian dressage at the Olympics. Not as annoying as Paul Romanuk though. He sounds like you’re watching the CHL game of the week and it’s 1994 on community access cable.

She’s not great. But she checks a diversity box for broadcasting.

You’re not going to get a lot of women PBP guys. She’d be best for third person in the broadcast. Her as the only colour person is tough. She gets a lot of Flames games and it’s tough, because the Radio gets the muuuuuuuuuuch better colour guy. And I’m fairly sure he never played the game outside of low super low levels.
 
Earlier this year the Sens had a game in Winnipeg and the crew was Harnarayan Singh and Jason York. It sounded like a USports game call at best

I don’t think she’s as bad as some in here are saying , that said she’s not my favourite and she is definitely a flames homer which annoys me on the national broadcast. She’s better than Gary Galley though.

She shows up much more for Calgary, poor souls.

And anyways, even if I don't like her commentary (remember her tooting Koskinen's horn as a starter in a pre-game analysis after the guy had allowed 5 goals the previous game, three or four of them being questionable) at least she's better than absolutely everyone on TVA sports' cast.

Yes, TVA Sports is that bad. Just as many mistakes but less insight and a much more cringe-inducing delivery. Gaston Therrien should seriously change channels, he'd fit right in with his self-important attitude and lack of any sort of charisma.

Anyways, if I really must watch that channel to get the damned game I'm watching it in mute.

They need to have her do commentary on more games. I like listening to what she has to say.
 
I feel like the PBP guy for the Flames is worse and more bland at his job than Cassie is at colour... she's fine and she has useful insights on HNIC. She's not nearly as bad as the group think will have you believe.
