I don't find her much worse than half of the commentators out there. There are a lot of shitty ones, in the grand scheme of things, of all the commentators I've heard, I'm not sure she's 23-page-thread bad. The only thing different about her than the other garbage broadcasters is...well I won't go there, seems a touchy subject for some.
If we have people like Jack Edwards on the air for years, I think she can have a couple more years before the internet should be trying to get her fired.

My only real exposure to her was when the Avs stomped Calgary a few postseasons ago. She was so incredibly bias and each game the Avs took over she would sound more and more like someone ran over her dog.
Avs fans might have one of the worst play by play guys in Moser, but I'd take him over Campbell easily.

I think it's more so that she is a woman that gets people all worked up. I hear announcers who are male all the time screw up and people forget about it. She is pretty knowledgeable about her sport as well. I mean being a woman among a sea of men has to be stressful and intimidating.

She is pretty bad. She is still ten times better then Gary Galley IMO. I do think a lot of disdain for her is probably amplified by being a woman, but she is pretty bad.
There are three other women on her own network who deserve an opportunity at a color gig, let alone the many qualified options in the sports broadcasting world at large. It has nothing to do with gender, Cassie just sucks.
A bit dull, but professional enough. Not bad in the "trainwreck" way, which can be more entertaining.

For me personally I wand a color commentator to be somebody who has played pro hockey and has that special insight and understanding (plus perhaps some interesting stories) with the Devils we had Chico Resch (used to be tv, believe he's radio now) who was a homer goofball but interesting to listen to
I don't want to listen to somebody commentating on a game that spent as much time in the NHL as I did.
No. Unfortunately not. I have just heard it a few times while watching games and a fight breaks out.

I agree as he gets older its getting worse but his voice has the memory factor so its ok if he calls stuff wrong.
For Cassie I wish she would add a lil overexcited ness at times. She should hang with the Boston guy for a lil bit.

Avs fans also have Peter McNab, who somehow makes Moser look competent by comparison. The combination of the two is painful.
She's very, very dull. I also think this "Breakdown" of plays has gotten rather old. HNIC needs to freshen-up their bits.
As usual, really annoying when women get token spots based on their gender instead of their competence. Sexism at its worst.
And no, I wouldn't mind listening to competent women at all. For example my favorite figure skater commentator is female. But it needs to be based on merit, not by what's in between their legs.

Gary Galley played in the NHL and is atrocious and can barely string together two sentences.
I'd be fine with a guy who played in Europe or even junior, cis whatever as long as their insight is good into the game. Not every smart player makes it to the NHL.

True. I don't remember anyone complaining about Linda Cohn, Robin Roberts...they were just flat out good at what they did.
