Every game she announces it is mistake after mistake and fumbling over simple sentences. I know she did alot for womens hockey but enough is enough, she is painful to listen to.

I honestly don't know a single person who can stand listening to her so why is she still on?

Her relationship to the Flames aside, she shouldn't be calling games regardless. She's down right awful.

She's not great, but she's no worse than a majority of the pool. There are like three good PlayXPlay/Colour announcers in the sport, Miller, Cuthbert and Ferraro. That's it. I prefer to watch hockey on mute most days.

I’ve not heard Cassie Campbell, but whoever the NBC lady is I too feel like is only there because she played hockey, rather than broadcast skills.

Makes me genuinely miss Pierre McGuire when she’s on a game. Super dry, boring baseball delivery, really obvious statements and non-analysis that seem far more obvious/nothing when delivered in that fashion.

Everyone analyzing a replay obviously recites some of what’s on the screen directly, but usually they get ahead, talk around it or fill in the blanks some of the surrounding play; I feel like she often just second for second word for word describes what’s happening on the screen as it’s happening

I’m actually all for going out of the way to hire female broadcasters, but do they really specifically have to have been players?

I’ve seen similar threads for Healy, Milbury, Hughson and many others so not really sure what you’re on about. Don’t expect her to be treated any differently by posters on this site than her male counterparts are.

Watching Avs games on Centre Ice I listen to quite a few different broadcasters around the league. There are quite a few worse than Cassie.
