It's really on the coach to get more out of the awesome roster Chia has built. Lucic, Benning, Kassian, Talbot, Strome, ... what a Dream Team.

Todd has not been able to harness the awesome power of Chia's tremendous roster adds.

He had the option of scratching all the names you listed but chose not to. Not pulling Talbot tonight and leaving Looch on the top line last night are some of his bad moves. There are numerous others including how he dealt with Puljujarvi, Bouchard etc

Yeah, at this pace he'll get a raise and the GM position in no time. Chia is on pace to be the super ultimate starlord of hockey, impressive stuff.

Its only in Edmonton where you had a team playing half decent in the strike shortened year, players liking their coach (Ralph Kruger), and players actually gelling. Things were looking up. What do they do? Fire Kruger for Super Boy Dallas Eakins. Eakins comes in, completely destroys the team and is mercifully let go in his 2nd year. They then hire Todd Nelson who has the team playing well again, seems like a likable coach, and things seem to be trending up. They really trend up when they win the lotto and get McJesus. So they then fire Nelson and go hire another Todd. Now this Todd was lucky enough to be with Detroit as an Assistant in the Dynasty years but couldn't take a very good SJ team to the next level. They were even up 3-0.
