The Boilermakers are Purdue University…conference rivals of the major D1 program located roughly 20 miles from your stated location…Hockey doesn't work in the US? The whole damn country? Idk who you're trying to fool. But you're factually wrong. The NHL has never been more popular in it's existence nor players salaries higher than they are now. Not to mention the worth of teams in either Canada or the US to be in the billions. Far more than they have ever been worth
Who tf are the boilermakers? I've been as far south as Alabama and as far north as Manhattan (not that far I know). Sure Football is number 1. Football is to the US as Hockey is to Canada. But I'd wager you've never been to more than a couple states, if any. You have no idea what you're talking about.
Tons of US sports fans know Sid, due to his marketing being much better during prime. As well as playing on a US team. And Olympic exposure. I can guarantee McDavid would be far more known in the US if he played for and American team as well as in the Olympics
They were all over sports news a month ago for their basketball team suffering the biggest or second biggest tournament upset of all time…
Which makes one assume you might not have the grasp of the U.S. sports landscape that you think you do…
The NHL as a whole only really works in pockets of this country, and even in those pockets there are plenty of sports fans that may have heard the name Sydney Crosby but could never identify what team he’s on…
