Calling him selke level when he didn't even get a nomination is stretching it. He got 7th.

McDavid and MacK are the clear cut 1 & 2, then you could have any of: Hughes, Draisaitl, Matthews, and Pettersson rounding out the rest. Maybe Barkov as well. Depends on what you value.

I know i'd love if the Hawks signed EP40 to a 7 x $12m contract though :yo:

He’s a unique combo of goalscoring, playmaking and defense. If he could add some more physicality to that he’d be more or less unstoppable.

This year as a Canucks fan I have Miller ahead of him. Guy has been borderline hart worthy. Pettersson has been less consistent. I have Hughes ahead as well.

However when he’s on its lights out. So I’m going with no so far this year, but on the whole then probably yes.

This year, yes.
Third in points for centers behind only Mack and JT Miller while playing most of the year with pretty poor linemates (Mikheyev and Kuzmenko) at ES but a strong group on the PP.
And plays a strong two way game.
That said, I can see the argument that other centers have a better track record so I think either yes or in the conversation is a good answer.

Borderline, he's 5-10 and anyone in that range is top five sometimes.
