I mean, if either Kane or Tank are being moved, it's likely for picks and prospects only. Don't really see a spot for any of the Leaf roster players you proposed.

Wings have a logjam of goalies, short wingers, and bottom 6/AHL fodder type players.

If we're moving Kane and Tarasenko we'd just turn around and flip as many of those Toronto pieces as possible, too. It's really a bunch of meh and 2 first rounders...and the picks alone are probably more than either of those guys are worth.

I'd like to trade...

Copp, Kane, Tank, Chiarot, Petry, Veleno, Fischer, Gustafsson for...

Future considerations.

I'm OK with your trade, too. We'll even throw in Husso at 50% retention.
I’d be elated - would probably probably try to sneak Rasmussen and Compher in there as well - you can never have too much of a good thing.

Can you explain to me the logic of most of the pieces in this trade? Firstly, I think Toronto is overpaying. But frankly, I don't know the status of a lot of those TO pieces all that well. Here's my read:

Robertson seems like an at least useful player, I'd be happy to have him. I used to like Jarnkrok a lot and I think he's worth something. I'd be happy to take them on as replacements for Kane and Tank in the lineup.

We don't have much use for Hildeby, but I think he was meant to be a positive. We just have enough goalies, and some better prospects. Domi, Kampf and Reaves are cap dumps?

So a lot of the two first rounders are going into paying for cap-the Kane retention and a lot of dumps. I like the idea of the trade, but I think it's too many pieces and moving parts, so let's simplify it. Make it a '26 first and Reaves for retained Kane and then call it a day.

I'm ok with it. I don't think Maple Leafs do it.

Half those pieces get moved again for more "stuff".

We aren't trading anyone unless people start waiving their NTC/MTC. Otherwise, our "blockbuster" move will be trading Tyler Motte or Christian Fischer as a depth piece to a playoff team in exchange for a 2028 5th rounder if we are lucky. Depending on the severity of goalie injuries, Husso might be sticking around.

Zero interest in taking on 5 garbage players and a goalie we dont need to get 2 late 1sts

Rather move kane for a 2nd and make tarasenko at 50% available
