Least liked by me anyway. And that's all that matters.Least liked in Montreal maybe.

yupI am sensing a pattern with players from Russia not being fans of all star weekend.
Sounds like a very sustainable model....Easily, more people watch, more sponsors. I didn't give a damn about skills competition and this weekend, but after everyone started complaining about Kucherov, I decided to watch, to find out what the hell happend. I suppose I'm not the only one who did this.
If you watch the KHL all star game/skills comp it is way more exciting, creative and they try way harder than in the NHLyup
some weird pride/macho thing, maybe they resent the whole performative dance monkey dance thing. These assholes don't appreciate what they have in the NHL, stay in Russia and play in that criminal league if you hate it here
EJ Hradek is that you?yup

They have a collective bargaining agreement. They are entitled to negotiate it.IMO part of the problem is these guys don’t have an opt out option. Their buddies are spending the week off on a beach in the Bahamas while they are compelled to attend a Mickey Mouse event in Toronto.
Some of these guys have to attend every single year. It would be nice if a player could choose to opt out if they’ve already attended 3 all star games or something of that nature.
On the contrary his skills comp performance inspired me to buy a Kucherov jerseyLast night I attended a hockey party where they were about 5-6 kids wearing Kucherov jerseys who were excited to see him play and show his skills. A couple of the kids actually took off his jersey and threw it lol
A lot of the parents and kids were quite upset at how he acted in the skills competition and didnt even bother trying, laughed about it and mocked fans.
What do you guys think? Most people at this party were saying even if he didnt want to be there he should have at least sucked it up and gave his fans what they wanted. A few of the kids were extremely upset by his actions and left very disappointed.
Seemed super selfish to me.
Thoughts?
By chance does the winner get to not have a family member fall out of a window? If you watch the KHL all star game/skills comp it is way more exciting, creative and they try way harder than in the NHL
Assuming he even gets there. He'll show up in the playoffs as usual, leaving the 'all-star' weekend to McDavid and Matthews.
Well McDavid also helped design the event, so maybe he just thought whatever, McDavid will win anyways and didn't give a shit. Or wanted to meme McDavid and the NHL.We will let McDavid try his hardest and go all out in a skills competition.
When it really matters, in playoffs, Kucherov is one of the best in the world.
damn those poor millionaires.IMO part of the problem is these guys don’t have an opt out option. Their buddies are spending the week off on a beach in the Bahamas while they are compelled to attend a Mickey Mouse event in Toronto.

I mean its a better message than what Hockey Canada has been putting out recently. He's sending a good message to kids that you should only put in effort when needed. Life is too short to always be stressing and worrying about pleasing others.
Don’t need the speech on the NHL or sports being an entertainment product. The NHL is responsible for the entertainment of the product. Everybody’s role that is associated is different, and players’ roles are outlined in their contracts that are backed by a CBA. It is not Kucherov’s responsibility to entertain. Maybe morally to you, it seems.
I understand you were upset with Kucherov’s Marshawn Lynch approach. Hope the NHL can adopt more incentives so the competitions are a bit more lucrative for the players.
Meh, I’m not crying any tears for him.damn those poor millionaires.
Who, Matthews? I think he’ll make it to the “respect handshake line”.Assuming he even gets there.
I think the only embarrassing thing to come out of this is the takes we are getting in this threadOr Barzal's attempt at the saucer pass lol
how soJust confirming that he is a petulant child. A cancer.
