7 other teams have red, white, and blue incorporated into their colour schemes.
I think the teal is nice though. That seems to be one of their primary colours. I like that two tone blue and teal

Not sure, Ducks and Browns are pretty bad
NBA also has a bunch of weird ones like Jazz and Magic
All fair points.
On the scale of birds though, I rank Ducks higher the Pelicans
As usual you cant see the forest for the trees.Yeah cause simple is always bad. It's why the Yankees, Cowboys and Habs are among the most hated brands in all of sports.

"cooking up fun at the krak house"I’m on board with the name as long as we call the arena the krak shak
Sunbelt teams are living so rent free in your mind that you bring them up in an entirely unrelated thread
The NHL needs a injection of fun regardless. Not every team name has to have accurate historical significance. Hell the only reason the Pitt is the Penguins is because of the stadium looking like an igloo, which penguins apparently dont actually live in. Kraken only feels weird because its new, give them time to develop the brand and people are going to love it and never look back.the team would be a meme if thats the name
Plus its just made up - Doesnt Kraken lore stem from the Atlantic up near the Nordic countries..?
Not the shades of blue Seattle went with. Not all blues are the same. They couldn't be more different than the Rangers or Habs.

I love the color scheme, logo couldve been way better but dont hate it as a starting place. Something about the jersey irks me, I think its the sleeves hope they go with that mid range blue for helmets and pants to really make them stand out.
It's navy blue dominated. There's not a ton of distinction between these three.
The teal saves it a bit actually. Hard to really judge how it will pop until they hit the ice.
Squiddly Diddly?
They said they purposefully didn't want to show or include an actual kraken to make it more mysterious... and for future branding opportunities...
The NHL has done that before, culminating in the least visually stimulating Eastern Semi in 2006 of the Sens/Sabres and Canes/Devils. Way too much Red/Black/White.
