Hats odd to Dave and our PK players for crawling to 21st spot in PK%. I believe we were in 31st spot when Dave took over. They are being much more aggressive and it has paid off.

who knew, changing things that don't work can have a positive effect on the team! honestly this just pisses me off considering we haven't made any changes 5on5...
What exactly was that coaching display against the Bruins? he was losng line match ups at home. It started 23 seconds into the game and he kept his goalie in the net instead of going on 6-4 at the end of the game. No need for an exit meeting for this guy when the season ends. He is not an NHL coach.

OK... Even if you wanted to make sure you first win the draw in the opposition end before pulling the goalie ...
You could have had Helly standing on your blue line so he's right there to go off and he's still OK incase you lose the draw.
OR you could have pulled Helly and kept the 6th man back incase you lose the draw
OR you could have pulled Helly and put the 6th man in the zone for the faceoff and just go for it.
Regardless, you should have done anything but what you ended up doing.
If this team comes back with Lowry as the head coach they are insane.

Finally got around to listening to the Illegal Curve post-game show for the Detroit game, and they were SCATHING in their review of Lowry. Basically said he is in way over his head and makes dumb decisions constantly. Well worth a listen IMO

Yeah, but so did MOS for his first few years as HC with the Bombers and look at how that turned out? Maybe these are just growing pains. Let's give Lowry the comfort of a multi-year contract, get rid of some veteran deadweight and he can guide us through a couple of tank years to our eventual dynastic glory.
MOS had a really bad team talent wise for his first 2 years as a head coach and his record reflected that, but in the next 5 years he never had a season below 10 wins.Yeah, but so did MOS for his first few years as HC with the Bombers and look at how that turned out? Dave Lowry was handed a team with a top 5 goalie, and a bunch of talented players and has looked completely lost while coaching them. I get that you were joking about giving him more time but comparing Dave Lowry to Mike O'shea is an insult that can't go ignored.
The IC guys made the perfect comparison, Lowry is like Tim Burke who took over after Lapo was fired in 2012 and clearly wasnt cut out to be a head coach. Plenty of coaches are great assistants but not head coaches, and Lowry appears to be one of those coachs.

Sorry, you are right. No reason to have any Jets' bad habits creep into the good "everyone is committed" hockey the Moose are playing.
