i do not understand :( :help:

From the way this season has gone, guys coming back from injury is obviously a sign that someone made a deal with the devil.

Although based on the timing and where the team sits in the standings, I'd imagine that it's less about selling of a soul and more like selling a timeshare in a soul.

Move them to Springfield OH. Wouldn't even have to change the jerseys

And where would they play? I don't think Wittenberg's arena is hockey-capable... :)

The bolded represents a bunch of words that I recognize and know the meaning of individually, but when you put them together like that it doesn't make sense. Like "radio watermelon blow access walking".

Yup. 5 & 6 could have altered the jackets destiny. But Schneider was an unproven talent that no one here wanted (well, except for one or two astute posters ).

I have to admit, trading Brule for Schneider would have brought about some head scratching at the time. Heck, who's to say that Schneider, without the development umbrella that was Roberto Luongo; didn't come to Columbus, get rushed to the crease, and eventually fail like Steve Mason did? And then, Brule, returning to the city where he played successfully in junior, developed into a dominant player alongside the Sedins?

Then we're right where we are anyhow. I'm not usually a fan of saying "what if this had happened", but in this case, there is a plethora of potential scenarios. It's always interesting to wonder.

There's something off on the timing of your article. It says 2008 but the source says Dougie Mac was the GM in charge.

I vaguely understand Dougie Macs reasoning. Leclaire was still a hot commodity and Brule's value didn't plummet until he pouted upon being assigned to Syracuse in 07-08.

FWIW, it's not my article.

3 of them would change CBJ history...

not getting Schneider means no Bob
not getting Carter means no Jack or Dano
Dubi going to Tampa would have meant a MUCH different Nash trade

I'm not sure how not getting Schneider means no Bob? But I could live with no Bob if we had Schneider.

No Carter could mean still having Jake and whoever we drafted #1. Again I could live with that.

Last one definitely would have impacted THE trade. Possibly a totally different team. I'm glad that one turned out the way it did.

If Vegas adds a team and get the expansion draft thing could we basically lose Clarkson for free and Jarmo would be a genius ?

I believe so, but unless they need money to get to the floor I doubt anyone claims him in an ED. Plus if we carried over his NMC/NTC I believe he must be protected

There hasn't been an expansion draft held since Doug MacLean "invented" the NMC with his shady business dealings. However, the CBA doesn't explicitly mention expansion in the document. The only provision for an expnasion draft is that players selected receive $6,000 for moving expenses.

Might be a loophole but this is what the CBA says: "A no-move clause may prevent the involuntary relocation of a Player, whether by Trade, Loan or Waiver claim."

It doesn't mention an expansion draft. There is really very little mention of an expansion draft in the CBA so I bet most of those items would be addressed in a separate agreement if one were to be held.

Is anyone else having problems with the Jackets website? For the past few days I can't watch any videos from Jackets TV on the site. All I see is this:

I've been having this problem for weeks. It's working with Chrome so just run with that for CBJ's website until they fix it :)

Runs fine for me on Firefox. If you're using a script blocker (NoScript for me), it looks like the website has had a few changes recently that you'll have to manually enable to be able to see videos.

That'd be my presumption as well. In my experience, the NHL is a great deal more pushy about making sure videos don't play if ads aren't reachable. Literally, if the ad server goes down, it won't let you get to the video.
