Damn, forgot about that part! lol

Didn't care much for the movie overall.

Wasn't really watching it that intently, mostly for background. When I heard the phase "We're hockey players", I glanced up and that's when I saw Hartnell. He even got in a couple of lines of dialog!

Did Scotty make it to the dance floor without falling?

No Hartnell Down sightings on film, but it only showed him dancing for a couple of seconds. Probably all they could get out of him while he was upright...

Director: "OK Scott, let's see your best moves this time. And....ACTION!"
Stage Hand: "Harnell Down!"
Director: "Dammit...CUT!"

:)

Now that we have had a bit of time to digest it, why would we settle for so little in exchange for Wiz. His play was not great of late (Kevin C. reminded me of him a bit last night) but he should have fetched more.

Portzine:
You think? A 2nd round pick, a pretty good center prospect are the key pieces, of course. Bourque is a bit of a flyer. The Ducks get to balance off Wiz's money and the Blue Jackets get a reclamation project. Seems reasonable.

Just....no.

Bourque was a salary dump. Advantage Ducks unless his career has a rebirth.
Wild Bill IS a good prospect, but he's exactly that - a prospect.
The 2nd round pick in a deep draft is good, but it is also an unknown.
It would take that draft pick being a first to say the deal was good for both sides.

There's a paragraph that's in the Sportsnet articlebut not the Yahoo one:

“It happens all the time. I got a call from a landlord about one of my players. They said they had to change his locks seven times on his apartment door… he kept kicking the door in,” MacLean said. “You have guys charged with impaired driving, all kinds of things. So you deal with them and you deal with the guy as severely as you can. And if he misses a game, he misses a game. Or you trade him. You do lots of things. I’ve traded some players over issues. I traded Lyle Odelein once over an issue and nobody knows why.”

In case MacLean has ever wondered why everyone thinks he's a jackass and why he doesn't have a job with an NHL team, this sums it up pretty easily.

this guy is the gift that keeps on giving. i think we STILL only know the tip of the iceberg of how deep of a hole he dug this franchise.

I can't believe he admitted that to the world, wait, yes I can.:amazed:

Not only that, he sounds proud of himself. Someone needs to tell him that this type of behavior is actually shady is should be frowned upon. You don't get a gold star for grossly invading somebody's privacy.

random thought from an outsider:

Kevin Connauton has 8 goals??? How the hell did that happen?

A 30 day hot streak. He only has 1 goal since Jan 14. He did miss 2 weeks but he's pretty much dried up. I'm not expecting him to score like that again to be honest but maybe with Wisniewski gone he might get an opportunity to take more shots.

But also factor in Murray coming back into the lineup that his opportunities will dwindle down, unless hes paired with Murray.
