Would someone having a 'C' on their jersey have gotten us to the playoffs?

If so, please pin a 'C' on someone as soon as possible.

Thought I'd do this to see what we lost/gained by letting these players go, either letting them walk as free agents or being traded or just terminating their contract.

Here is a list of players who played for us at some point last season... the list shows their stats this year... stats as in points, games played, +/-, corsi/60, and time of ice. The players are listed in order of highest corsi/60.**

Blake Comeau - PIT... 26 pts in 41 GP. +12. 16.15 corsi/60, 15:40 TOI.

Marian Gaborik - LAK.. 33 pts in 49 GP, +4, 12.87 corsi/60, 17:01 TOI.

RJ Umberger - PHI... 15 pts in 63 GP, -9. 12.25 corsi/60, 13:58 TOI.

Nikita Nikitin - EDM... 8 pts in 34 GP, -9. 10.60 corsi/60. 19:20 TOI.

Matt Frattin - TOR... 0 pts in 9 GP, Even +/-. 10.46 corsi/60. 7:03 TOI.

Derek Mackenzie - FLA.. 9 pts in 63 GP. -16. 7.92 corsi/60. 12:37 TOI.

Nick Schultz - PHI... 13 pts in 61 GP. +7. 7.08 corsi/60. 19:02 TOI.

Cody Bass hasn't played a game in the NHL this year.

Mike McKenna played one game for Arizona and gave up 5 goals. But has played tremendous in the minors... 2.08 GAA, .933 sv %.

Simon Hjalmarsson has 24 points in 33 games, KHL.

Players I think we obviously miss are Mackenzie and Comeau.......Gaborik would be nice since he's what we've been missing all season since we traded him last year lol

MacKenzie is sorely missed. Big time. I'm actually surprised with Schultz's production which has led to a contract extension. Congrats to him. Comeau is a pure example of how playing top 6 minutes in Pittsburgh can boost your production entirely.... In terms of ability, I honestly was hoping we kept McKenna and got rid of McElhinney but Curtis has been playing well this year so it's a win. Plus McKenna hasn't saw much game action which I have no idea why considering the goaltending depth in Arizona is brutal besides Domingue and Burke.

I liked your post (above) about moved players.... This is the kind of thing that gives numbers to General Manager choices.... do it more... Including types of players signed etc...

As for goaltending, I've seen over 300 NHL starting goaltenders since 1970.... Curtis McElhinney is not a starting NHL goaltender.... I'm not even sure Bobrovsky is.... The Blue Jackets have alot of work to do..... They need leadership!

A big **** you to whoever used my screen name to post this moronic question on Portzline's Chat today.

Comment From 1857 Howitzer
How disingenuous is it of Jarmo to act like he "did the right thing" by Leopold and bask in the PR of his daughter's letter? If he actually wanted to the right thing, he would have dealt him to Minnesota months ago instead of dragging it out until the last hour of the deadline - we healthy scratched him for like 20 games, there was no reason he couldn't have been traded 6 weeks ago.

Same thing happened to me a few weeks back. I'm thoroughly convinced that it is Mixer and Portzline, themselves, who come up with their own questions And post them under specific usernames, such as your's and mine. They are that desperate, I believe.

I think they do that too, but the Rob in the chat is not Mixer AFAIK.

Usually I don't like to say opinions are wrong.

But your opinion is wrong. Very.

It's a former user on here. And he's getting his rocks off over this conversation.

Best I can say is to ignore it. Sorry.

So I'm sitting around watching the movie "This is 40" with Paul Rudd and Leslie Mann on FX tonight. Megan Fox is also in the movie, and her and Leslie Mann's character are in a bar getting hit on by a group of guys, and one of them says they are hockey players. Next thing I know, there is Scott Hartnell on the screen and he's talking to Megan Fox! Holy ****! Shortly after, there is a scene where they are out on the dance floor, and he's dancing with her! I didn't think I could like or respect Scott Hartnell any more than I already did. I was wrong...:yo:
