I’m low key liking Borgen. Boring AF, defensively sound. No skill, just effective. And I like those frisbee shots towards the net, causing all sorts of problems for the goalies on deflection as the puck crawls to the crease and pad.

I’ve liked Carrick since he dropped the gloves in his debut.

They’d be on a 6 game losing streak if not for Markstrom. He made 2 save of the year candidates in the kraken win they had. They became the one thing they sought to destroy. A team relying on its goaltending and PP to win.

Carrick is driving offense, for a 4th liner, at a pretty good level.

His charts don't look like a murder scene in any season.

The main thing he's getting dinged for on that card is penalty killing, and I don't care. Penalty killing metrics are completely random. It boils down to "did goalie make save?"

I don't like to root for losses, but you just know this team is gonna finish 2 points out of a playoff spot & right in the soft middle. Just low enough to pick a tweener RW who won't suit up for the team until 2028.

However I still think this team isn’t good enough to win. Part of me wants to lose ever my game at this point.

I still have hope for him...once they clean out this dead weight coaching staff, I feel like he turns it around. He's exhibit A of Lavi & Housley's non existent system & how the entire d-corps including Foxy has regressed.

I'm a little confused since it seems for a while they seemed to be pretty good at shutting teams down like they did last game we played. What 12 shots on goal? We weren't the only team to have that happen to us against them. But what I saw today they looked nothing like that. For f***'s sake we even dominated OT which never happens, even last year it seemed like our OT record was a bit of a fluke because we got great goaltending in OT.

Sorry, but this team is never winning a cup built the way they are. Doesn't mean they should've packed their tents when they had an issue with the GM, but they weren't winning a Cup if everything was Kumbaya all season either.
