I'm sorry but I must have missed what McD said, can you fill me in please?

“We know what Marc is to this team, but he’s going to have ups and downs on his comeback,†McDonagh said. “It’s a very humble and gutsy decision by him to sit out, knowing he doesn’t want to hurt the team. If he’s not ready he’s not just going to play because he’s Marc Staal.â

Please do not post unfounded, unverifiable rumors from the internet. Keep it to legitimate sources. Thanks.

Obviously not a Ranger injury but is Erat out for an extended period of time? I have been impressed with him in this series.

He's a good player. 50 point guy. Washington recalled Joey Crabb (2002 NYR draft pick) and Tom Wilson (19 year old, OHL Plymouth Whalers). Looks like Erat is going to miss some time.

Sounds like they're going to bring up Tom Wilson, their first round pick from this past draft. It's to fill in for Erat, I'd guess. Dude looked broken last night.

I hope I'm wrong but I think that's it for Staal, Danny G 29 min, McD 31 min, Eminger 5 horrible minutes, have to give Strals a few more min and Moore a few more min, I would put Hamrlik in at least he knows positioning Em is garbage

Eminger has been great for us. You forget quickly just how bad Roman Hamrlik was in the few games he played. Id rather have a 50 year old Marek Malik playing defense than Hamrlik. At least Malik would still be faster.

Was but not now, he's slow...Hammer would be the lesser of 2 evils, at least he knows positioning

Eminger has been good for his role. He was good in Games 1 and 2. So he had a bad game. It happens.

The bad part is he had 5 min of icetime, he's wearing out the top 4, by the way he had been playing servicably, but got exposed last night, Hammer is equally as challenged, in a per fect world, it would be Staal

Not that a rookie is necessarily going to set the world on fire in the playoffs, but Wilson is a tough character. Hopefully he's too busy adjusting to the pace of play to put a major hit on someone.

I agree. They need to get more out of their 3rd pairing.

That is what scares me. He is like a missile.

I thought Staal looked fine in Game 3. I'm wondering if it's a confidence thing or if some days his vision is worse than others. From what McDonagh is saying, it sounds like the type of thing where Staal could be coming in and out of the lineup. Some Staal is better than no Staal at all.

The Rangers have an optional today. No Staal. Kreider and Newbury are skating with the team today after skating with the extras for the last few days. Maybe some of the forwards have a few bumps and bruises. From: @AGrossRecord

Henrik Lundqvist not practicing today. Marty Biron and Cam Talbot the goalies on ice. Chris Kreider and Kris Newbury skating, too.

Lundqvist not on kind of worries me

Rest day. This is right around the time Torts starts rotating his biggest players for maintenance days. His biggest performers will get days off after games like yesterday. Need to not wear your team out.

Hank is fine.

What I read is Erat's hurt his wrist. Hershey just got knocked out of the AHL playoffs. Wilson is a big guy--very physical. They called up Joey Crabb as well. Sounds to me like Erat is done at least for this series.

Hamrlik is a last resort. If Staal can't go on Friday--Eminger should be in the lineup.
