At this point, I don't know why our media people just don't go see Mancosu and ask him "Dude, what the f*** are you doing?"

He's not doing anything, doesn't add anything, barely creates space for his teammates, etc. Does this guy have pride?

That over the top goal celebration in Portland was the final straw for me. That and constantly blaming his teammates for his failures

I still don't get how the Briand transfert failed like that. You've got a team that wants to see him leave, a player who wants to come here AND a team that desperately needs said player. This is about as unf***able a scenario as you could find, yet here we are now. From what I can gather from todays article with the guy he seems genuinely sad too. Why couldn't all parties find a way to make everybody happy ? This seems so simple to me.

To me, the dumb ass agent (who did great PR) sold Briand a bill of goods. He didn't understand MLS and it showed. IMFC didn't want to pay the extra DP slot so they didn't want the package to be part of the contract. Briand insisted for something in writing. IMFC could have given him a sponsorship contract or something. Could have gotten more creative for sure.

Joey also seemed to have been an ass during the negociations.

In the end, they ALL look like complete amateurs.

Then can you have a competent person negotiating deals ? It was the impact's job to make it as easy as they could for the agent and Briand to understand the loopholes and the details of an MLS contract. This screams at me as a case of De Santis promising anything Briand wants with either no knowledge that it would impact his status, or with the intention to circumvent legally by using a loophole or just going all out mafiosi style.

the ''welcome to the family let's figure out the details later'' approach did not work this time, and if I'm honest I personally think Briand (or his agent!) would have been made aware of a case like Ciman where promises weren't kept... and that could totally be a question I would ask Briand (or his agent), if that's why he wanted everything in writing.

either way, the IMFC is the only one at fault here, not securing the contract before paying the fee ... I mean, how incompetent can they get ? there isn't an armchair GM here that makes that mistake. And there isn't a club in the world other than IMFC where no one will lose his job over this. nah, its the player's fault we didn't do our homeworks.

Everything is always too expensive for the Impact. Cheaputo will end up being the death of his own team.
The problem is also they don't know how to evaluate talent. It's possible to be cheap and competitive, but they have no clue how to get their money's worth.

I can't remember where I heard that (Destouches maybe?) but IMFC haven't paid the fee.

Was surprised listening to Josef Martinez speak today, he has a bit of an Argentinian accent...maybe it's rubbed off on him from his teammates.

I hope we don't end up with Adi. They didn't want to have Briand as DP but it's alright with Adi!? ffs, it's even worse considering we will still have to look up for another striker in January
I can't believe they're in this position having so much time to address the problem since Garde took the wheel.
