Yeah, there's no way he isn't playing on Friday. Even if you have to start AG against Columbus the night prior.
I don't know, last week when there was 3 games in 4 nights, Gallant gave Georgiev the middle game, probably to give Igor two days off in between starts. The middle game this weekend is Minnesota.

He won't play as many games but to this date I think this season is better than Lundqvist's Vezina year especially with how much scoring there is this year compared to 2012 and it's only his second full season.

he's easily the best and most talented goalie in the league and people are finally realizing it. Only downside to him is his durability, he makes a lot of gooch-splitting saves and I get nervous every time, especially since Lindgren and Nemeth just love crosschecking opponents right on top of him

That is the "shit my pants" part. Shesty has tasted the gomu-gomu no mi, I expect him to keep splitting. Not nervous even with the injuries.

I feel 90% of goalie injuries are players thrown in to them by teammates.

Shesty is an absolute savage.
His non rattle factor after a bad play/bad goal is
Off the charts. Combine that with his acrobatic skill/positioning and we are extremely lucky to have him.
Oh yea, before the Jones-Schneider pair, was a thing, he handled the puck better then the entire 3rd pair D.
The rangers have never had a triple threat like that in net. Lundqvist and Richter were great, but the opposition didn’t have to worry about them springing someone on a breakaway or screwing up their dump ins like shesty has the capability to do. I guess beezer had a bit of that, but he was dealt. Shesty looks like he could be better in every category.
Cloudier handled the puck well, but didn’t have near the talent of shesty between the pipes...

as our young D gets better and more used to nhl duty, with this guy in net, the ranger blue line and goal is going to be the back bone of this team for many years.
Future is bright for sure. Now we need to get our Fwds to play 2–way responsible hockey and score 3 goals a game, and this team will be a powerhouse.

Even during Hanks best seasons he would have some really gnarly stinkers mixed in there that would often times end up costing him the trophy at the end of the season. I haven't really seen Shesterkin fall prey to those yet

If he keeps it up he really deserves some Hart nods. Without him this team is treading water this year

I think based on the above it's safe to say that if Igor is merely average in the postseason or we have to rely on Georgiev we'd be lucky to win a game. Honestly sounds about right based on everything I've seen

Shesterkin's last 10 games:

9-1-0

1.77 GAA

.950 Save %

I was just looking at some Igor numbers myself...

With Igor in net, the Rangers have lost 3 times since November 7th

Igor has 1 loss at home since October 25th.

He's only allowed more than 2 goals in regulation 9 times.

All but 2 of our losses with Igor have been by 1 goal.

And if you took out those 2 losses against Calgary(which happened 10/25 and 11/6), his GAA is under 1.8 for the season.

Oh, you mean Hank's pouting and losing it after getting scored on?

Give Igor two years behind those defenses, he'll start losing his mind too.

Stick handling part is unquestionably true though.
Igor has never been like that. Isn’t going to happen. And how long are people going to make this ridiculous excuse? The defense got roasted during Hank’s years. The McD-G;Staal-Boyle;Yandle-Klein d sucked? People just want to push that narrative. Yea, a defense, when mature, with Lindy-Fox, Miller-Trouba, Jones-Schneider is going to suck and sTiNkS. That’s what we will be hearing now for the next decade. Can’t wait.
