Zadina is going to be there at 4 in all likelihood. I'd be fine with him there, and would be fine if we passed him up, as long as it is 1/2 other guys

Watching Zadina score over and over again at the world juniors this year had me wanting him on our team at that time. I don't think that guy will bust, he had 2 goals against us, 7 in the tournament, and looked like he knew what he was doing.

Svechnikov had only 5 assists in 5 games played. At the time i didn't see how svech could go ahead of zadina, i understand now svechnikov is locked number 2 and is obv better, however 7 goals and an assist in 7 games played, crazy.

I think Montreal passes on him and takes Kotkaniemi or Dobson or even Tkachuk.
oh ok may i ask why? i get defence cuz they traded sergachev for drouin, and i get maybe kotkiniemi because he is a centre, so ya i have started to see what you mean. Plus dobson played in the qmjhl, memorial cup i believe? so all that being said i would still take zadina because we have stronger D and centres than montreal and why not haha if he falls to us we should catch him imo.

You and most HFSens fans judging by the results. Bust potential Zadina vs Tkachuk.. I'd give that to Zadina. High point total potential. I'd give that to Zadina too.

I don't see any bust potential with Zadina. He's an elite goal scorer that works hard and has a great compete level. He's not just a one dimensional shooter. You don't have to be high on him that's fine, that's just what I think. We'll see.

Kotkaniemi, though Bouchard would be fine with me as well.
Those are three I'd be most happy with if Zadina (along Svechnikov and Dahlin) are off the board, and I'd add Tkachuk (who I know is a pretty divisive pick around these parts) as well.

Imagine someone like Tkachuk targeting all of our stars, with no repercussions. It was bad enough seeing Cooke get away with murder for a handful of games per season.
I think you're over estimating how chippy Tkachuk is. From what I understand he's more of a chirpper rather than tough guy conspired to his brother. Talks lots but isn't running around kneeing everyone in sight.

That makes no sense to me. At all. His goals are elite skills you cant teach. His game is so similar to Kucherovs its scary. He isnt just a goal scorer he is a play maker too. Did you watch any of the WJC? He was the best player at 18 not 19 with not nearly the same supporting cast anyone on sweden canada or USA had.

He has the highest offensive iq in the draft and its not close. When this organization was at its best they kept all their picks and chose the best player available every time. They have to get back to that. Which is why with this management group im terrified they do the wrong thing. They need as much elite skill as they can get.

Imagine someone selecting Zadina and he's eventually scoring 50 goals a year and all we have is a guy running around scoring 40-50 points a year.

This random scenario you have come up with in your head when evaluating who to draft is ridiculous.

Why on earth would there be no reprocussions? Who do you think he is exatly? Lindros? He is 190 pounds.

I think he's just insinuating that Mtl gets away with lots without getting penalized by the refs. He's not saying Sens wouldn't fight back.
