It's a rare event that we are witnessing. This team would be better served if Bozovin and company were dismissed tomorrow.
Or 5 years ago..................

Amazing on how this guy is still here. He must be some kind of salesman, with the promise of something better coming.....

This is 2011-2012 season all over again. Can’t help but think a complete overhaul is in order from top to bottom. Bergevin to Ducharme and most in between should he replaced and we need to move forward with new minds ans new bodies. Weber, Price should be on the block and the new core of Suzuki, KK, Romanov etc. used to build around while injecting kids into the lineup and giving them more responsibility and surrounding them with vets in a supporting role. I’d rather be bad with kids who are learning than vets who can’t do it. If this season has shown us anything it’s that the veteran leadership didn’t account for anything and we fared better when leaving more on kids like moving KK and Suzuki as the top 2 centres in the playoffs.

Something is fundamentally wrong with this organization and it needs to be dealt with. The decades long malaise needs to end and we need to hire the best person for the job, period. Don’t let political impediments prevent this as it’s been holding us back for too long now. We’re a rich club and have no cap on management so load up on top tier talent in management, scouting, and development.

We are the Montreal Canadiens. Why are we talking about one guy? Replace Molson as president with a real hockey man (Ken Dryden, Guy Carbonneau, Larry Robinson, Pierre McGuire, Martin Brodeur or Matthieu Darche), make the GM someone with a track record (Mark Hunter? Or one of the names above) and make Roy the coach. Bring in a group of proven hockey people to support them. Go win

Funny to think people were "excited" for Ryan O'Byrne lol

I'm just happy to have an exciting, I'd call it can't miss, prospect at the forward position. We had Price then Subban but it's been so long for a forward lol. Galchenyuk had the profile of a can't miss prospect but obviously he missed his potential.

Not sure anyone expected him to be a star but a physical, effective second or third pairing guy. He got destroyed by the development process, though. He was OK in the AHL but was given a really short leash in the NHL, as soon as he made an error he was benched. When he was benched he got nervous and made more errors. I think Therrien's philosophy was that if he could mess with someone and destroy their confidence easily they weren't tough enough. If you have loads of good players you may have the luxury to only play mentally tough ones but I don't think the habs have been there in a while, they need to try to get everyone working.

A 17-yr old about to be drafted doesn’t give a f* ck about Mtl Canadiens, and if he’s a high end talent & family is from Quebec they want him as far away as he can possibly be to maintain sanity and live a good life making lots of $ in peace & tranquility.

The Mtl Canadiens haven’t been anything of significance for over 40-years, let that sink in....

The money and resources we have has nothing to do with any 17 year old.

Money & resources are only useful if it’s about attracting the best & brightest regardless of race, religion, creed or geographic location.....such is not the case for Les Canadiens de Mtl.

I hope they hire someone who hates our D.

we need a few D who can make a play while moving.

Look at Petry. So many points while in motion. Walking the line or activating from the blue line, moving low.
(Look at Gus’ 2 assist last night. Movement. )

OTOH, Weber, chia, Ed, ... they get the puck at the blue line and they’re stationary. They can only snap it at the net.

D corps built in his image.

The guy is so out of touch with the game, it’s ridiculous.

Dude please. publish some facts to back that up.

Some facts? This is one of the most studied knowledge in psychology with IQ. Not sure why I need to post studies about such a well-known conclusion.

Cohort Differences in Trajectories of Cognitive Aging

Cognitive decline is linear and quite inescapable.
Cognitive decline varies per individual, depending on environmental / health factors.
Higher IQ looks like a bit of a shield
BMI affects decline
etc.

Martin Madden Jr., Patrick Roy, Bobby Smith or Dany Dubé.

But it's not solely about who is chosen. It's about who they surround themselves with.
