That is exactly what they did, it happens all the time in warm ups. Do you play hockey?
ah yes, this classic. "You think that you should look where you shoot rather than fire pucks at bystanders blindly? guess you never played hockey before since you disagree with me"

Yes I agree with you, I didn't say they weren't morons, but I did say it happens. Just like in the video clip.
I guess he would have to have goalie equipment to be safe there. The third one was clear intentional. First two have small chance Not to see him but it was most likely that stupid childish thing which you dont do when you are 30. They dont shoot at referees so why wouldnt they see him?

Ugh. Just glad the kid didn't get hit especially on that first shot. And this is why rules need to be in place because sometimes people are wired so differently that they cannot differentiate clearly between goalie and non-goalie. Enough blame to go around here - kid wear a helmet (not placing blame on him), players don't be jack gasses and tournament officials how about some, you know, supervising and organization.

I would be more inclined to believe Safin wasn't paying attention and just picked the corner "out of habit" if the net was in the proper place. The fact that the net was sitting off to the side and he still picked the corner makes it pretty clear to me that it was intentional. Just stupid stuff.

He should put goalie equipment on next time he put those nets in place. But don't think they would take it as a joke and he would get fired.

Extremely careless and disrespectful by all of the players involved. f***ing clowns.

[MOD] You'd have to be a real dumbass not only to shoot a puck at someone, but to do it with the cameras on.

If he was shooting the puck at him he would have hit him. The fact that people are upset is because he shot the puck at the net without caring there was somebody sitting in the net with no equipment on. You would have to be a real dumbass to not realize there is someone sitting in front of the net.

Yeah, classless scumbags made sure to apologize on video and post it on Twitter because the team knew they were scum.

The last one definitely wasn't intentional, Sweden doesn't have sociopaths on the team.

Not even sure they realized cameras were on. I'm not a hockey player but I have never seen videos from WJC warm ups.

LOL. You don't think they can see a guy in the net, or BESIDE IT when it's sideways in the case of the second shot? [MOD] The first guy picked the corner on purpose and the second guy went for the top bar/bottle.

Both players knew he was there and thought it would be cool/funny to shoot anyway. Simple as that. Disrespectful and stupid.

They are obviously not masters of communication and probably neither university guys. But what you saying is just plain prejudice on top level. Sure you dont have sociopaths neither psychopats in your team you better people, they just dont exist in Sweden.

Agreed.

The Czechs are my new favorite to win gold if they did all that on accident. I mean, what other team can skate around the ice with their eyes closed, then pick a corner on a net that's not even in proper position? Imagine what they can do with their eyes open!

Muscle memory. They know the nets there, they see a post, they know where the whole net is despite not looking at it
