I don’t disagree I just think it’s unrealistic the team is even going to ask him to waive his no trade which is why I suggested maybe it eases the burden on him a little bit and maybe he becomes more of a shoot first player.

Mika needs to cut his hair at minimum. Time for Peter Pan to grow up

They have 1 guy with an NMC beyond 2 years.

The naysayers having a field day when the only team better than us in the conference beat us. Very entitled fanbase we have.

Really don’t understand the sentiment I see on social media that Kandre was good this playoffs. We got nothing from him offensively and he was a penalty and turnover machine against Florida. I really want to like him but he’s Kakko-ing his many opportunities to solidify himself.

I agree that how they evaluate defenseman is terrible but in terms of big physical guys who aren’t good that only describes Trouba. Lindgren is small, miller is as physical as someone in line at the grocery store and Gustafsson is just bad at everything.
It can be dangerous sometimes. Those old ladies are pretty tough at the deli counter.

People are actually saying that?

This is why HF is Mensa in the grand scheme of things.

I'm not at the point with Miller where I want him gone at all costs. I still think he can fill a top 4 D spot with a good partner. But yeah, he's not very good.

If only we had a RHD who's good at everything.

This series as a whole reminded me of the Kings series in the finals in 2014. Super frustrating series.

The Rangers are becoming the Leafs, except in our case, it’s the ECF curse and not the 1st round curse.

I think if the Rangers revamp the defense, they’ll be okay next season and be back. Trouba and/or Lindgren need to be gone.

Panarin, Zibanejad, Fox are our three best skaters and are all soft playoff players. That’s a huge problem. Panarin was much better this playoffs. Zibanejad started hot but literally disappeared. I’ll give Fox a pass bc he is evidently hurt and is likely going to be out till December.

There really isn’t a realistic path to move Bread or Zibanejad, so they’re going to have to work around it. Take a page out of Florida’s book and go get Brady Tkachuk. I don’t care about the cap issues figure it out. Anyone is available except Fox Laf and Shesterkin. Thats the kind of guy they need to get

Yeah, seeing tons of people saying K'Andre was huge and a big part of the future. Idk, I've always seen him as part of the next core but I'm starting to stall on my thoughts about him. I'm thinking he may be a guy who could be dangled for an upgrade somewhere else in the lineup. This season was a step back for K'Andre IMO. I don't want that to be the case, but he was pretty disappointing this season.

Lindgren and Miller as our top 2 on the left side is really egregious. Drury has his first real shot to change the D with Lindgren an RFA and Trouba down to an NTC. I hope he takes the opportunity.

I know everyone is hating on Mika for what was probably his worst season as a ranger. I think he has been too afraid to go on offense because he is the matchup guy for like the past 3 years.

Next year with Chytil healthy (hopefully) to go back to the panarin chytil, laf line that started the season and looked so good. I would make Troch the matchup center. Have him Kreider, and Kakko be the Grindy puck possession wear the top players down line.

Have Mika, cyulle and whoever and tell Mika to go ham on offense and score some goals. Can always go back to Mika, kreider, and panarin when you are down and what to load up on offense.

One more year, tell him to go out and score goals and make plays, and if next year is like this one then I start to look to make a move

Can you move Kandre as the centerpiece of a Brady Tkachuk trade? I know Brady is overrated as far as charts are concerned but that’s a vibe shifting move for our locker room. We know he was high on the Rangers list his draft year.

The Leafs could only hope to make it to the conference finals.

Miller never looked as good under Laviolette's system as he did the previous 2 seasons with Gallant. maybe has something to do with how badly Trouba fell off but he didn't look great with Schneider either.

I agree he should go but I don't think anybody is a bigger liability than Trouba. I would like to know the percentage of GA he was on ice for in the playoffs. I bet it's like 70%.
He’s a bigger liability because there’s no place to hide him. At least with Trouba he could be playing 3rd pair minutes and PK. Ideally both get moved.

Lindgren is worse than Trouba because he plays with Fox, and needs a new contract, don’t make a big mistake.

I have an idea!

Boot Panarin, get an actual matchup guy and use him in that role.

Let Mika and whoever feast on third line/pair matchups.

Panarin was putrid getting semi favorable matchups in this series. If people want to be upset with Mika and Kreider that’s fine, I wish we got more out of them too but thru were the ones who drew the though match ups.

Not our 11.6 million dollar star forward who got outplayed by both of his line mates.

The Rangers probably would have lost anyway but I though Lavy was pretty poor in this round and got outcoached by Maurice. Typical dino coach that rearranged deck chairs on the Titanic all series.
