This must be what Keefe was referring to when he said "expected more out of Pierre".
Couldn’t agree more. These are the type of depth pieces that you can win a championship withI almost hope that he and Mikheyev don't find their scoring touch. What we get out of them is so valuable and I'd like to keep getting it at a huge discount.
If they stay below like a 30ish point threshold, they should also stay at 3rd line money. I think they're both too good for that to happen, like even if they aren't deadly finishers the puck spends so much time in the offensive zone that they will get some points.Couldn’t agree more. Gotta feel for Mikheyev. He was looking like a 50 point scorer last year but his game haven’t been the same since his injury. The ligament damage must be having a big effect on his shot and strengthIf they stay below like a 30ish point threshold, they should also stay at 3rd line money. This is a line that I trust in big 1 goal situations against top lines though
Some of it has been luck, he'll get some bounces. Definitely seems to take more center mass shots now though. Both he and Engvall have long sticks so not a lot of finish in tight eitherGotta feel for Mikheyev. No, that wasn’t good at all.Another good game for Engvall.
He might be the 3C we wanted all along.
I don’t mind the heat for telling it like it is and in this case like it was !!!Looks like Engvall took this thread personally.
LITERALLY the worst thread ever created.
I should be going after Vesey and Barb next and even Kerfoot lol
I’ll light a fire under theirs asses next
but seriously
Mr Pierre Engvall is playing much better
I didn’t notice him much but that’s ok on the 3rd line
But you have to give it to Hyman and Soup really
Outstanding 2 games from those 2
Do Vesey next.
I hate Kerfoot just as much if not more than anyone else here but he's been fine since we moved him off to the wing and Giraffe on to that 3C slot. Barabanov has been awesome too, minus the Ilya Mikheyev level stone hands.
I actually found Kerfoot much more useful at C than on the W.
I like Kerfoot quite a bit but if Engvall can thrive in that 3C spot the writing is on the wall for Kerfoot and his caphit imo.
If the Leafs do make the expected trade for a scoring winger at the deadline, then unless Kerfoot's caphit is part of that trade ballast, imo the optimal lines would then be:
Thornton - Matthews - Marner
XXXXXX - Tavares - Nylander
Mikheyev - Engvall - Hyman
Simmonds - Kerfoot - Spezza
Now that would be one hell of a 4th line for this playoffs run, but it's also a bit of a waste of Kerfoot, and obviously too much caphit for a 4th liner.

I've definitely made worse threads on the mainboards, nonetheless. Sometimes you have to shake things up. I like to think, me and @Teeder Keon are the energy guys on these boards. We liven up things by shaking it up every once in a while when things are getting stale.LOL.
Not that I can come up with any off the top of my head but there has to be worse.
There was also the time there were dueling Leafs threads on the main boards:
"Are we sleeping on the Leafs?" and "Are the Leafs over rated?"
Fun times.
Or God awful puns:LOL.

The work he did leading up to this goal illustrates that wellhis skills are just passable which is fine, he can make the simple plays...but hes the tallest guy on team, with longest arms and reach too it looks, and uses the longest stick...plus he skates well with that size, so he can impact the game with his size and defense
but he does need two wingers like hyman and mikheyev, or else he would look less effective
