I’m a Civic man for life. When my 2010 with 188,000 miles on it eventually craps out, I’ll buy a 2019 or whatever and have it last another 10 years. Rinse, repeat.

It could be awhile. My sister has a 2009 Accord that has 308k miles on it and still going strong.

50k? <5k/yr? I got a new car last year and am already up to damn near 20k miles (I've put 17k on it and 3k on my old car)

117k on my 11 year old F150 I bought brand new.

I'll just say this. I'm a fan of SUVs (moreso the mid-size Jeep Grand Cherokees and whatnot) and to a lesser extent minivans because I like how they sit vs regular cars and bigger trucks/SUVs.

When I was in Orlando, I had a 2022 Dodge Charger for a rental. That was a fun car. Had been in them before but never behind the wheel. Driving it up and down the Florida Turnpike is probably the closest I've felt to driving on the Autobahn.

I would be interested if one fell into my lap.

Did an airboat tour in the Everglades , there were gators and pythons bigger than our boat. Hit me pretty quick that I was not the apex predator there but I was food.

disconnection from wildlife is a definite issue with mentality of a lot of people

We’ve always had gators in my neck of Eastern NC but if you saw them it was in the river, deep down in a creek, or a neighborhood on the water. Last week someone hit a 10 footer on a street you would never in a million years think of seeing one. The street is about a half mile from an old abandoned/flooded quarry that’s now a popular family park.

Think I've shared before. This was at The Swamp Park in Ocean Isle Beach. These are rescue Gators.

I did an airboat ride last summer near Orlando. No gators (well they did have some rescues) but did see some deer. Of course if you really just want to see nothing but gators, Gatorland in Orlando is your place

Northern boy here; born and raised in Upstate NY. Lived in Florida for years for school but now live in MA.

Eastern NC BBQ is the best in the country, full stop, nothing else comes close. It's an art.

Ocean Isle! Used to go there every year on vacation. I miss it.

I think I've told the story about how I nearly ended up being Chubbs IRL golfing down in Florida where I hit a ball near a lake once. Needless to say that was a free drop.

I used to waterski tournaments all over the southeast. Most of the sites in Fla had gators in the water with us most of the time. Nothing like what I saw in the glades though.
