All for keeping Reaves in the lineup for game 1, maybe both at home. Maroon can be a PITA. But if Blais is healthy, a Motte-Goodrow-Blais line gives us the best chance to win. That line could have the potential to be what Coleman/Gourde/Goodrow were for TB.
Yeah. Turned out Carolina was more professional than we knew. But I understand playing Reaves that series. Probably going to be all hockey with TB. They are tough when challenged but that’s really not the Rangers game either. I think Blais in over Reaves, at least for a trial game while Blais gets his footing, makes sense. Assuming Blais is well. I wouldn’t have suggested that against Pitt or Car.

And more stupid than ever. Intelligent, genuine words do not come out of his mouth very easily. Take solace in knowing you are mor intelligent than he.

Another Canuck fan? Motte supporters were here. Please identify. I would like to say thanks to the correct fan base. Thanks though.
I’m an oilers and senators fan.

I hate the Canucks lol

Cannot buy into all the ESPN hate. Some parts of their production are good, some need work.

Sean McDonough is fine. He lost the puck on the Brady Skjei goal which turned it into an awful call. Every pxp guy has done something similar. He’s not the best but not horrible.

Personally I’d like to see ESPN talk Jim Hughson out of retirement. Now there is a great pxp person.

Ray Ferraro is one of the best. Think about who you’re comparing him to on other networks. He’s really good.

And neither McDonough or Ferraro hates the Rangers or announces that way. Go to the Canes boards, so many of them are convinced they announced the games like they were Ranger fans. Just can’t make everyone happy.

I do dislike the behind the net camera angles. Don’t change the view of the game we’ve been watching all year in the playoffs.

And the studio show needs work. Messier and Chelios just sound like a couple of old guys. Callahan and Weekes were a little better.

We've already won game 7's and on top of that, a game 7 on the road.

That's a huge step right away. There's grown ass teams that have been to the playoffs a few times and never got over that.

The only thing left is I'd like to see us take some initiative. Coming back four times isn't going to be a sustainable method. Let's get ahead.

You won't go anywhere being the team that can't win game 7 but you're gonna make it hard on yourself being the team that can't win game 1.

I'm not saying it's over if we don't on Wednesday but for the future, it would be a nice step.

You have rocks in your head if you thought the ESPN coverage professional and unbiased on any level.

It was embarrassingly bad. Ferrero made an ass out of himself. At one point they were discussing Gallant getting fired. Sheresterkin getting pulled over and over again...

Every time the CAnes took a shot on net you heard their voice go up. It was noticeably anti-ranger.

Lol ok. Hearing voices going up is a stretch but whatever works for ya.

Nothing you just said about Gallant or Igor is incorrect. In fact, it’s a credit to each of them they they are where they are now.

They also mentioned DeAngelo’s issues with us, Raanta’s injury history and a bad game seven effort at home. I guess they’re anti-Cane too.

You've posted drivel for years... no point in ever discussing anything with you.

I would root for the rangers to lose, if only it would make you miserable.

Lol so much venom the day after a huge series win. Must be wonderful to be you!

I’m afraid you’re going to continue to be miserable though. Sure Tampa looked good against Florida but they really weren’t very good against Toronto. I think with home ice we have a huge chance here.

Let’s Go Rangers!!!

Trouba crushing hits on Jarvis and Domi in games 6 and 7 really helped the team get a psychological advantage on Car. Especially since both hits resulted in powerplays. Car really lost a step after those hits.

I really hope he can continue to deliver big timely hits on Tampa without getting out of position. He forces the opposition to keep their heads up when he is on the ice. They treat the puck as a hot grenade when they see he is bearing down on them.

Probably knowing that K'Andre is there to clean up any potential mess gives Trouba the confidence to step up. It won't be long before Schneider will be able to dish out the big hits as well.

Having a D on each pair that can lay down a crushing body hit is huge.

Totally agree. Great post!

I don’t remember Trouba getting caught out of position because he went for a big hit. Hopefully that continues.

Bold prediction for next year: Schneider chips in 8-10 goals.

I love when he jumps up into the play for a one timer. I think he'll have a much better feel for that next season, along with stepping up for big hits like Trouba.
Feels like Schneider/Jones can be a great third pairing next year. Hope Gallant gives it a shot.

Question. Did everyone here lose it, when Strome missed that 3/4 wide open net that was actually saved while totally out of position?
I did. But you could see his fire in his eyes that he knew he blew it, and wanted to blast that next chance in. He did, so kudos to him.

Big goal, and much needed at the time. Btw, do I get kudos for calling his goal, which indeed was a great pass by Panarin?
I mean, c'mon. Calling a goal for Ryan after how many scoreless games? I gotta get something......right?
I was losing my goddamned mind at that play. If he doesn’t score on the ensuing rush, who knows how that game ends. It would have been the Stromeiest thing ever had it gone down that way.

Well, we've never lead in a series yet. Could be nice.
