I have to stay consistent due to SERIOUS superstitiousness. Well boys, we did it, buuuuut this is the end of the line, yada yada yada. I HOPE TDA IS CURRENTLY STILL IN HIS LOCKER CRYING. lol

If nothing, these guys better have a SERIOUS sense of pride. They've really showed something. I honestly thought this series wouldn't go past five games. Really proud of the boys.

Congratulations on continuing this Cinderella run, my Rangers friends. As I’ve mentioned before, I enjoy visiting both Boards and honestly wanted to see the Canes advance, as your window is just opening & the future is so bright. Whereas Carolina have been in theirs for a couple of years now & I like to see Teams take the next step.

That being said, I’m 100% on the Rangers bandwagon vs Tampa & getting my ankles ready for the jump. I’ll be watching tonight’s Game after I get home from Work & get the Like Gun going in this PGT.

Again, what an amazing run.

See you all on Wednesday

The most absolute sincerest apology to any vets here I may have offended if they hear me yell let’s go Rangers during the moment of silence. It was far from a lack to respect, it was a combo of being here on vacation since yesterday, and the whole town shut down other than restaurant and bars.

I just want to reiterate, especially to our community here, that I have the utmost respect for our country and those who have served. If you heard it on tv and we’re disturbed by it, please know it was an honest mistake.

I will be in Tampa for game 3 and will be quiet I promise during any anthems or memorials!

Not sure I would call this series easier. We struggled a ton with their forecheck, pinning us deep in our end shift after shift. I think the better team won, but I don't think it's fair to say this was any easier than Rd 1.

I think the team played better in this round and they didn't have to deal with ref shenanigans. Rangers got hosed pretty hard TWICE by the league in that series (G1 disallowed goal, G7 non high stick on goal 2 for Pitt.)

The only thing that really, really pissed me off officiating wise was the clear as all f*** boarding that was missed in tonight's game. Did Carolina get a way with a shit ton of interference? Sure, but they always let that shit slide. It was at least consistent and not the endless parade of lifelines handed out to their opponents when they were in need that we saw against the Penguins.

Honestly, who could have seen Carolina being the much easier series than Pittsburgh? Same amount of games but I felt like I went through a heavyweight fight after that series, this series was tough but much less so.

Honestly, RBA is to blame for the Canes.

System, conditioning, and all that. Your PP can't evaporate the way it did in the playoffs, and there is 0...ZERO excuse for your team to play like All-Stars at home and like shitstains on the road.

Granted, Rangers had a God awful Game 5, but Rangers outplayed the Canes for 2 periods in Game 1, and Game 2 was closely contested where a Rangers brainfart did them in.

My comments about Carolina and their stringent system echo what Hank said in the post game. They're very predictable so they turned out to be easier to defend than Pittsburgh. The Canes pattern in the o-zone looks the same almost every time.

Not sure that absent Brind'amour the home Canes are the real version of the team.

We had a mini melt down in games 3 and 4. No Lindgren. No Goodrow. We are were an inexperienced team.

I still do not think Shesty was the issue in those games. We were really bad in the middle of the ice and down low. We didn't know what was needed to win. We know now.

We are learning how to win. The growth of this team these playoffs is EXTREMELY rare.

The Final 4. June Hockey.

We made it. We're back. Don't let anyone else tell you otherwise.

The vets, the young guys. Everyone is contributing to this.

Going to many games, when the starting lineup got announced, hearing "and in goal #30 Henrik Lundqvist" always got everyone going. I cannot believe that hearing #31 and Igor Shesterkin gets people going just as much.

So ready for Wednesday at MSG. Time for some unfinished business with Tampa.

Their PP was all about ADAs weak floater. That's not the go to option. They need shooters.

We'll see the exact opposite against Tampa because they will be firing it from both dots

Yeah, I agree, not having to oppose the refs this round was a a relief. Pitt obviously was the more dangerous, skilled team, but the Canes forecheck was wearing us out this entire series, even tonight. This was a series of attrition & it might catch up with us in the ECFs, but I won't underestimate the heart of this team again.

That non boarding call on Lindgren was f***ing ridiculous. I was screaming about it in the GDT. Should've been 5 & a game. Ref was staring right at it.

Remember in the regular season when we literally couldn't do anything at all against Carolina? No time, no space, couldn't even do anything on the PP, they just completely outclassed us each time we played them in the regular season. Pretty crazy.

Btw, the fact that Adam Fox is as good as he is at hockey is nuts. He has the frame and physicality of just some random college kid. He's not a fast skater, he's under sized, he's weaker than most of his opponents, his passes and shots are frequently extremely weak. His physical shortcomings should be enough, as usually it is, to keep him out of the league. And despite this, not only is he good but he's literally one of the top 5 or 6 players in the whole league. He shoots the puck as hard as any random 14 year old but it doesn't matter because he's so smart he just waits until the goalie can't see and lobs it in. Same thing with his passing. None of his physical stature even matters at all because he's just so smart in all aspects of the game.

And heck, game 1 should have been a Rangers win if Kakko didn't have a brain fart on an open net.

Chytil reminds me of Kovalev in the '94 playoffs right now. dangerous every time he's on the ice.

The kid is as strong as an ox, WITH the puck. He's really coming into his own right in front of our eyes.

Did anyone else see the play where a cane's D might have thought they had the upper hand on Chytil but instead Chytil leaned back into him (I think it was Smith) and he just kept attacking the net, it was the play Chytil was coming down the right wing and put the puck off the kisser of the canes backup. Probably seemed subtle/unnoticeable to others who knows.

Love that kid, along with the rest of em.

The greatest player in the history of the game had a meh shot, was slim, non physical, pretty weak, slow... And had a hockey IQ on a level thats incomprehensible to us mere mortals.

Hockey IQ > all
