BTW, people will downplay this win because of the Raanta injury but we were already up 2-0 and the three goals that his backup gave up were two breakaways and a 2 on 1. Were they most unstoppable goals ever? No. But no guarantee Raanta/Andersen make those saves.

this team gave away games to both pittsburgh and carolina and still pulled it off.

This team with Igor playing this way will be a very tough out for anybody.

long shot, but they can do it

Congratulations from the west coast! Hoping to see ex-Canucks, Motte raising the cup!!!
he has been a revelation. the guy never takes a shift off.

Congrats guys. I was mostly in denial until like game 4 but the Rangers were ultimately the better team for at least 60-70% of the series, and if you guys had home advantage it would have been over in 5. Your top end players are just better.

Will definitely be rooting for you guys to keep Tampa from 3 consecutive cups.

what a win...perfect 2022 rangers kinda win. pp gets us out front, igor makes some massive saves, rangers capitalize on desperation to put it away.

looking ahead to tampa i dont love that tampa got all that time off when we played every other day but maybe that has them a step slow early and we can jump on them at home. it should be a very different series though, tampa wont come with the same smothering forecheck or collapse on the puck as quickly defensively which obviously will open up the ice. that should allow panarin to be a much bigger factor especially but all our top 3 lines should be able to generate more chances. on the other side though, have to be concerned about our d which have a habit of getting caught too wide and split when games open up which tampa will tear to pieces. hopefully we see more of the former than the latter and keep splits and gaps responsible. either way what a gd run for this team...they just keep showing up in big moments

We’re only half way there and I feel like I’m gonna die

Not sure how I feel about Tampa yet. I think we’re a very similar team to Toronto that gave them everything they could handle. No Point would be huge

Haters will downplay it but who cares what they think. It must suck for them.

I can't believe we are back on the ice after one day off. How does this make sense?

I don't think it will hurt us, but what the hell is the NHL thinking?

Our quick turnaround is actually an advantage, compared to Tampa's 9 days off. Tampa will not come out sharp in the first period. We should be able to take advantage of that. It might have been different if we were playing in Tampa, but with our home crowd behind us, no one will be tired coming right back into action.

People can downplay it as much as they wish. This team has zero quit and earned every goal and win of the series.

They obviously won't be favorites vs the bolts, but they'll put up a fight and make it a series. I'd be shocked if they went out like the Panthers.
