I’m not that scared of him. The hype and mythology around him has blossomed out of control. He’s clutch, that’s for damn sure, but even with series’ like the last where he allowed what? 3 goals? His career playoffs are still a 2.49 and .920. Good, but not so intimidating that I feel we can’t win a series against him, especially after just beating the best defensive team in the league. We’ll solve Vasilevsky. I believe. I honestly think Carolina was our demon to slay. I think we can beat Tampa, and even do it in less than 7.
Yep. He doesn't scare me like Brodeur did back in the day.

Although we still gave up too many shots most of the game, we otherwise effin dominated.
THAT is how you are supposed to win championships!

Competition will get tougher.
I give us just under 3-2 odds to beat Bolts.
figure Igor and their guy a wash, and we are hair thin better on most man to man matchups for rest of the roster.
Plus Point is out at least to start, and we have home ice advantage.

first things first, but it will be tougher vs Avs.
Let's see if NY can iprove + gel this series enuf to overcome this season's results vs Colorado

This was Panarin's best game of the playoffs so far IMO. He didn't really have any brutal turnovers that I can remember which is a big improvement from his usual 4 brutal turnovers per game.

Hopefully playing against his buddy Kucherov gets him locked in. He's helped a team beat them in the playoffs before, let's hope he can do it again.

I don't know why people are crapping on Vasi.

Hes an excellent goalie with a ton of experience. He had an iffy opening round (well 5 games, but so did our guy) and has been pretty fantastic since.

Is he unbeatable? No. Is the the best goalie we will have faced so far? 100000% yes. If we happen to get by Tampa he will be way better than who ever we face in the finals too.

Though if you're going to get Tampa, this is when you want them. The sweep and rest is something I'm sure they'll take, but it's going to give them juice for like a game at most. You figure those miles from the last 2 runs+shorter than normal offseason are going to catch up to them sooner rather than later.

They were a much better matchup for us than Pittsburgh was. Surprised it went to seven games. Definitely not complaining. Hell of an effort.

Honestly, who could have seen Carolina being the much easier series than Pittsburgh? Same amount of games but I felt like I went through a heavyweight fight after that series, this series was tough but much less so.

He's the current and well deserved king at the top... and TBL are the team to beat.

We get to see what's what. I like our chances if we play up to our potential.

It wont be easy though.

Not sure I would call this series easier. We struggled a ton with their forecheck, pinning us deep in our end shift after shift. I think the better team won, but I don't think it's fair to say this was any easier than Rd 1.

this team gave away games to both pittsburgh and carolina and still pulled it off.

This team with Igor playing this way will be a very tough out for anybody.

long shot, but they can do it

he has been a revelation. the guy never takes a shift off.
Motte is a great play off performer. Kills penalties, chips in a goal here and there and puts everything on the line. Great pick up by you guys that we sorely miss
