What a great ****ing win.

Laine and Ehlers were horrible tonight. We need more from them going forward.

Nice to see Scheif back to being a force down the middle for us.

Ehlers and Laine are getting more hate than they deserve IMO. I think the word people are looking for is underwhelming, not horrible or bad. Each of them had their moments tonight, both good and bad.

Lesson...never give up.

There's no doubt about it, the Jets were giant underdogs in that situation. A few percent, at best.

As the underdogs did to us last game, sometimes the underdog comes in :)

As much as I think Lowry is an acceptable fit at 3rd line center, having so much talent that they could run the big man on the 4th line with Tanev and Armia? That 4th line would be the class of the league.

Maurice will run them against the other team's best. Call them the third line or 4th line, it doesn't matter.

I don't think people realize how exceptional Lowry has been this season. He just dominates the ice when he is on. If he was faster or had more skill or both he would be a superstar but I will settle for being a dominate 3rd line center

I've been beating this drum to anyone within earshot all season. The man is already an elite checking center. If the Selke trophy actually went to defensive forwards instead of two-way forwards, he'd be up there for consideration already.

Sure, I mean, I think we'd both / almost all agree that the term "shutdown line" is much more accurate. Only really called them back there for the comparison in my mind to the Red Wings of the late aughties, that had players like Kris Draper and Darren Helm on the (so-called) 4th line and it was a testament to how ridiculously deep they were.

Theres something really sexy about seeing our first ever draft selection bright-eyes blow past Ovi in 3on3 with a no-look setup for the game winner.

Gives me the goose pimples

Actually Scheif said he took a glance and saw Myers heading for the seam. Still a minty pass though.

Putting Roz with them as well was a nice move especially when he had to drop both Ehlers and Laine down to do it.

Yup -
Really gutsy move by the coach and you have to make those calls as a good coach - I honestly think Maurice would have had trouble with that call, under the same circumstances, last year - he's making those tough decisions more often and they are paying off.

Now what happens? What's our 3rd going to look like, especially when you consider what our 3rd already is when healthy
