Holy ****

The mind told me would score eventually. My emotions were telling me something different.

IMO the play of Roslovic & Connor turned the game around. Their energy and drive was fun to watch.

Myers was having an awful game and then scores in OT. You can't make this **** up
Agreed. Connor and Roz's speed and willingness to do the board work helped light the fire last night. I'd keep C-S-W and P-L-R together Friday. Maybe then put Petan between Ehlers and Laine and let them work for their supper in a sheltered role.

I really would like TSN to do a half hour post game show , although i come to HF Jets to hear and see all the important stuff anyway . I would like to see how Lowry , Laine and Ehlers would play together . And Trots is a sucky poo poo  One of his player makes a dirt-cheap hit and that's ok , but wants Buff to get 2 and a 5 , give me a break .

Why not put Patty with Armia?

Keep him away from Ehlers, no good together except on the couch.

Connor Scheifele Wheeler
Perrault Little Roslovic
Laine Petan Armia
Copp Hendricks Ehlers

or trade him, think he would like that right now..

If you guys were the game, how loud would you compare it to the honeymoon era when the jets first returned?

You must be a gimmick.. Laine has struggled this year. Deal with it. Sophomore slump .

I don´t get it  I´v watched all of the jets game this season and i don´t know what are these struggles u speak of? All i see is bad passes sometimes and maybe he doesn´t get the puck out of the D-zone allways, but so doesn´t #26, #55 or any other player on this team. He is faster now than when the season started, and have scored 25 goals. So stop wanting a perfection and enjoy the show.

The goals felt as loud, but the mid-period noise/chants will never live up to the first season until we reach the end of our regular season playoff push im guessing

The thing is, he has regressed 5v5. The numbers show it, the eye-test shows it. He has made up for a lot of it by being lights out on the PP though.

I just expected him to take a step forward, not backward this season. That being said, he's still a fantastic goal-scorer, I just think he can be more than that.

Trotz is just salty because his team let a win slip away shorthanded somehow. If they win it's a non-issue, but the fact they lost has him clutching at excuses. A 2 minute penalty with under 2 minutes to go while down a goal is basically a death sentence.

agreed. just to add, he only has 11 EVG's this season. might not even hit 20 goals even strength wise. Still a beast on the PP and all goals count the same. But in terms of even strength play he hasn't produced as much last year for sure

Who would be better with Ehlers and Laine

You know, this is exactly the main issue to me right now. I'm up there with the biggest Laine fans on this forum, but CSW and PLR Looked REALLY good in the third period. I don't know how you could break them up again.

But that leaves two VERY talented players in Ehlers and Laine. If we could find another top six center that would suit these two..... then you have some thinking to do about how you number your lines.

I just hope that we don't have to trade Roslovic. He is on track to be a very good player.

Heck, maybe Roslovic could center these two and put armia on Little's line. I think there is still untapped potential in Armia.

I think that this is just willful blindness. There is no valid comparison from a defensive liability POV between #55 and Laine. Love having Laine on the team, but he has regressed and is a serious defensive liability 5 on 5. He is very unreliable on board and one-on-one puck battles. Unless he cleans this up, he will be an even bigger liability in the playoffs. In that case, I would not blame Maurice one bit for limiting his ice time.

I was scanning the GDT and it seemed to be people being pretty hard on players falling and/or not completing passes etc. There was a concert at the arena last night, it was quite obvious to us that the ice overall but especially on the attack zone side (where stage would have been) was all around pretty ****ty.

Just sayin'
Ahh, that's what it was. Even my wife said that the players need to stand up more :)

Yeah the concert is a reasonable explanation for the situation. It was nuts how guys were blowing tires all game long. However, while I assumed it had to be the ice it was weird how it seemed to be mostly only Jets who were falling.

I wouldn't mind going into the playoffs with this...

Connor-Scheifele-Wheeler
Perreault-Little-Roslovic
Ehlers-Brassard/Plekanec-Laine
Copp-Lowry-Armia

It's kinda great that Connor and Roslovic are looking like bona fide top 6/9 forwards already.

That's arguably 3 top lines and a great shutdown 3rd line. Pretty impressive
