Nothing about any of this should be political but that's where some feel like they need to take it. I am trying to provide facts and data to discuss this.

We as Americans should all be completely pissed off at China. They caused ALL of this. We should all be banding together now but that's clearly not what is going to take place. Sadly.
Yep. In China, social credits be damned, they're even calling Xi (pooh bear himself) -- Winnie the Flu.

For any who don't have toilet paper. Cut the LA Times in 6" squares. Joking and hoping it does not come to pass. But my family came from El Salvador Civil War in the 80's and that is one of the few odd things i saw when i would visit them.

Now that's funny!

Honestly bud, bidets work. The water is under fairly decent pressure and when you're done it takes a lot less paper to dry your bum. If you got shit on your hand would you just wipe it with a tissue, or would you wash your hand?
I believe they work, they wouldn’t be so popular otherwise. Just saying I don’t get it and it’s not like I can just go out and buy a six pack for 5 bucks to give it a try.

368 deaths in Italy today, more than double yesterday's total. 50% more than Friday's total of 250, which had been the highest.

I suppose youtube or some shit (pun intended) could answer this question for me, but I've never really understood the bidet. No amount of water squirting up my ass is going to sufficiently get the situation clean without some friction, and then you're left standing up with shitty water dripping down your leg.
the squirt really does though, since you're not smearing it around it's confined to a small space and the squirt clears it really easily. speaking for mine that is, i have an adjustable fan pattern and it reciprocates forward and back (also adjustable) with adjustable temperature water. the non-electric cold water ones might not be as efficient but suspending soil in any amount of water makes it easier to remove. then mine has a adjustable temperature fan that drys you off save for a couple drops of water on the scrote or taint

had mine for about a year and a half now, i seriously don't think i've had a shit since, that i didn't walk away clean from with more than 3 squares of tp. and that's just because i don't want wet fingers and i don't let the whole dry cycle go out of impatience. it's crazy.

i don't care as much about the paper waste on an ecological level, but i had to replace the cast iron drain pipes in this house and they were PACKED with tp that turned into some kind of concretion. i live out in the sticks and we're not on the sewer here so that's a lot of junk that's not going into my septic system/leech field which is a huge plus to me. probably offset the $350 cost of the bidet through saved maintenance cost on the septic already. plus my asshole is clean.

Oooo!! Fancy!!! What brand did you get?

I am afraid that I am too panicked to talk hockey right now. I mean the world is ending all around us we all likely have the dreaded virus to end all viruses so hockey is the last thing on my mind. WHAT ABOUT THE CHILDREN!!!! I can't wait for the draft (ahem, assigned drafting position because there really isn't a fair and even lottery) "lottery" so we can see who we will draft at the 7th slot. We seem to be the only team that gets screwed every year (I know) for beating the troll who is commissioner's team for our second cup and he doesn't skip a chance at screwing us whenever he can so we will drop 3 spots again this year. I still think we will end up drafting a solid player though.
dang dude, thats got to be a record. only 30 posts and making it onto an IL for sheer annoyingness, congrats.

Yup.

Ignored more people this past month than the 16ish years prior.

Either I'm getting old or the happenings have made everyone choose to be more obnoxious and annoying

Been watching some old games to pass the time. Not to mention, if you miss the sound of an awesome Kings broadcast, this is always a good one:

Hughes sucked at breakaways almost as much as Gretzky.

I'll keep this to some bullet points:
  • KINGS17 is correct when he says you can't talk about mortality rate because we don't even know the denominator. Mortality rate isn't something we're going to know until like a year or 2 down the road when the disease has hit all shores and done its damage. It's a rear-view mirror statistic.
  • It's fair to criticize an administration (and institutions like the CDC) about the spread of a disease if things were handled poorly. No examination and no criticism means no learning to improve things the next time around. That said, none of us can affect policy (as far as I know), and most people already know where they stand with this administration.
  • I visited Japan 15 years ago and learned bidets are awesome.

The type of criticism you are describing comes later and is for the betterment of all. The type of criticism I was describing can be summarized as Impeachment Attempt 2.0. They are not the same, and if you are honest, 99% of the criticism you hear now is of the latter variety (especially from NPR, CNN, MSNBC, etc.). Absolutely disgusting when we are in the middle of what is in its entirety a humanitarian crisis. To play politics at a time like this is simply deranged. It is no better than opportunistic hoarders that induce panic buying in order to re-sell later at exorbitant prices. Opportunism, whether political or financial, has no place now. We are in this together.

I am a big fan of Trump, but I believe he made many big blunders in the early part of this that made it more of an uphill battle than it needed to be.

The politicizing on both sides is just horrible and disappointing. Although I did get a good laugh out of the useful idiot from NY who tweeted out South Korea as an example for the need for universal healthcare, as Italy's health system is literally collapsing before our eyes with the same system. Just not the time to be trying to score political points. Fact is this is going to hit everyone hard, because all these countries, whether public or private healthcare simply don't have the ICU beds or ventilators to handle what is happening.

The reason South Korea is seemingly much better prepared is because they have the experience of having dealt with the SARS and MERS outbreaks in recent history, not necessarily because they have universal healthcare.

We don’t have testing or tracking.

That is a huge failure.

Strictly political thinking now:

Here’s my thoughts on Trump.

Mueller report: Barr stepped in and shut it down.

Impeachment: Partisan Republicans stepped in and shut it down.

Guy was not exonerated in either case.

Bright side is I left Belmont Shore at 6:07 and arrived at La Cienega and Wilshire at 6:52. First time doing this drive that I got on the 10 and just took it all the way to La Cienega.

Downside is that I'm still having to go to work.

Enjoy it while you can. Leaving at 6 am in the future will probably get you there at 8:30 am.

Without a huge bounce back in the stock prices of tech companies, California is going to suffer a deeper recession than other states. This state relies far too much on taxing the rich. Well, the rich haven't made any money this year. They are going to lose money. People who are employed by tech companies and usually pay a big capital gains tax on their stock options and the stock they sell will not be paying in April of 2021, if there is not an extreme bounce back.

Will Sacramento cut spending on lavish social programs? Not a chance.

Hopefully, the bounce back occurs. The coronavirus is definitely a black swan event, and perhaps has triggered an overreaction, or perhaps the reaction has "flattened the curve" which should mean a rapid economic recovery once it is under control. Need to get to one million coronavirus tests per week, and soon.

The virus was going reach the US regardless of who is president, unless they banned all international travel in December. That was not going to happen.

a good source of getting daily info is Agenda free tv on YouTube. I have been getting my info their and got prepared early since the news did not look good by what other countries were going through.
