I wouldn't doubt it.

I still can't understand what happened to this kid. He was on the right trajectory after a rough start to his career. 19 goals and 41 points in 2011-12. 34 points in 48 games in 2012-13. 20 goals and 44 points the following year. And then suddenly he totally sucked at the ripe old age of 24. Really weird.

Hodgson is, if nothing else, a great example of nurture over nature. Between his parents and organizational influences both in Vancouver and Buffalo, he was just never prepared to improve upon himself. I liked him personally but the skating left so much to be desired.

Also, with Andreychuck, the case for him being in the Hall is pretty clear but I can at least understand the wait. He was very, very one dimensional and while I appreciate what his career collectively adds up to, I could name 4 guys more deserving more years than not.

Tim Kennedy has signed with Luleå in the SHL.

The Swedish league is starting to fill up with former Sabres; Kennedy in Luleå, Danny Paille in Brynäs and Ville Leino in Växjö. It's gonna be interesting to follow those guys.

Dmitri Kalinin has signed for the next season with the Moscow Spartak team in KHL.

Anatoli Semenov has been hired as an assistant coach at the St.Petersburg Dynamo team in MHL.

Had to look him up. He played 25 games with the Sabres during the 1996-1997 season - 2 goals - 4 assists - 2 penalty minutes - -3 plus/minus.
He is one of two Sabres who has worn #93 - Doug Gilmour being the other.

Taken from an October 16, 2014 article that was posted on the Sabres website -

Jason Woolley followed up that stellar regular season (43 PTS-10G+33A) with a springtime run in 1999 that saw him collect 15 PTS-4G+11A in 21 playoff games. Woolley would etch his name in Sabres lore during the Finals with his Game #1 overtime winner in Dallas that Rick Jeanneret famously called “the shot heard round the world.”

“It’s something very special to me. RJ and I, we make a good team,” Woolley said with a laugh. “There’s nothing wrong with playing alongside RJ. He’s one of the greatest play-by-play men of all-time and that is still a special goal for me in my career. I felt like Michael Jordan when I scored that goal. “It’s still amazing to me when I run into Buffalonians all over the country who remember where they were that night when I scored in Dallas.”

These days, Jason Woolley is using the wisdom of his 14-year pro career to guide the future of the NHL as a player agent. An unexpected call from a friend in 2008 led to Woolley forming TPG (The Players Group) Hockey in Birmingham, Michigan. The agency’s stable of clients includes NHL’ers Drew Miller, Corey Potter and Chad LaRose, along with junior stars Brendan Perlini and Vince Dunn, both from the OHL's Niagara Ice Dogs. (Woolley is hoping to be in Buffalo next Wednesday when the Ice Dogs face Connor McDavid and the Erie Otters at First Niagara Center.)

For some reason, I'm not hating the idea of bringing Gaustad back on the 4th line... assuming it's on the cheap. How was he in Nashville these last few years?

Add to the list of ex-Sabres in Sweden: André Benoit has signed with Malmö. Not that anyone cares... :)
