Nash looking like a shell of his former self. He has not been the player he wasprobably due to the concussion. Just look at his hits through the passed few seasons.

How is that even possible?

I'm a big fan of Nash, but there are just games where he looks worse than an NHLer. We watch him on the 1st line because his name is Rick Nash, but honestly, he's mostly useless and can get knocked off the puck by a 3 year old.

I'm done with Nash. To the point where I would be willing to swallow the cap hit for a buyout. The bigger the game the more invisible he is. Its mental with him, and the Rangers will never win anything with him taking up 8 mil in cap room. Better to rip off the band aid now than waste the last handful of productive years from Henrik

I have mentioned this countless times before, Nash no longer bends his knees like he used to which means he doesn't create the push off he needs. Watch him skate and the. Watch someone like Hossa skate. Both big guys. What's the difference? Nash doesn't bend, he skates like a robot.

This isn't something he used to do in his younger years. What's the issue? Does he have bad knees? Hips? In order to get the proper push with the blades a player has to bend and drive, he does neither which makes him a more stationary player. You see it with the moves he pulls on his one on ones. He backs in because he no linger has the speed. His reach makes him dangerous but that's it.

It's sad, he's not old. Lots of miles on that body though.

He looks like a drunk giraffe

I don't know how anyone in that room respects Rick. He floats around every shift. It is so frustrating to watch him play. ZERO EXTRA GEAR. ZERO DRIVE.

Its amazing, but we might be better off with Dubi and AA than Nash. Really. I know the trade looked great on paper, loved it at the time.. despite being on record saying that I never really wanted him.

It's the third period. we are down 1-0. McDonagh gets a pass. everyone hustles to get on side. Well not everyone. there is Nash gliding his way back on side and Mc D waiting to make a pass.

Outside of the stretch, where Nash tried to make the Olympics, the effort has been zilch. I can take a lack of scoring from any player. I can't ever take a lack of effort.

Fantasy: In the off season, we dump Beaver and use that money to sign Cally back.

Video review record??

Does anyone happen to know what our video review record is for this season? I tried to google it but I can't seem to find anything.

Where did you find these stats? What an embarrassment.

Buying out Nash instead of Richards wouldn't really phase me much. It kills me to say that, and maybe I'm not being patient enough with Nash, but sometimes I feel like he's more replaceable than Richards. I'm sure I'll catch **** for saying that, but right now that's how I feel.

That stretch was after he made the Olympic team.

In fairness to Nash, he had 2 concussions in an 8 month period, he's probably trying to get over that still.

How long do we wait for him to get over it? We're talking almost 6 months now...

If he's not going to get over it ever, cut our losses.

Buy him out with the compliance and buyout Brad with a regular buyout. Who gives a ****. Get both these slugs off of our team.

I don't think an official count exists. However I can assure you it's abysmal. I think we've had 1 call to our way this season iirc

While I don't agree with what you're saying, I see your point. Concussions are a serious thing, it has to be affecting him.

Bottom line, there's two possible scenarios in my mind.

1. He's perfectly fine: in which case he is just playing soft, and needs to pick up his game ASAP.

2. He's not fully fine because of the concussions: in which case he should go home and get healthy, because his health is more important than a game.

Yeah, I too am ridiculously sick of Nash and Richards. The team is becoming reminiscent of the dark days with MSL sucking since the trade.

I'm starting to believe that this team will always be cursed when it comes to All-Stars coming here. They always fall flat on their faces.

Saying "it's been 6 months already" is ridiculous IMO. We don't know much about concussions as a society, other than that it is a serious brain injury that can lead to dementia, Parkinson's etc. My dad is in his early 50's and he's had at minimum 6 concussions. He went to the store the other day and when he got there he forgot why he was there.

But I'm not making excuses - if this is mentally affecting him, making him gun shy, or if he is not fully healthy, then he needs not to be playing. It's that simple. So to me, he needs to sit and get his head straight or pick up his intensity.

That's such a huge difference from what we saw last year. Last year when we saw Nash going 1 on 1 with a defender, the odds were pretty much even that he'd get a good chance.

Specifically, we saw him drive wide, and then wait for a defenders feet to cross, and in that split second he would cut in, and drive the net.

Seriously. What the hell happened

Rangers played a very good game sans the first 15 mins of the second quarter.

Too busy to run through the thread but i'll throw my name into the hat of being disappointed with Nash.
