Where did you find these stats? What an embarrassment.
Yahoo fantasy the 10 hits in 11-12 is supposed to be 101*

Was thinking the same thing. How all of these "top scorers" cant fit with any of our centers. There never seems to be any chemistry no matter what kind of team it is or who we bring in. Maybe its because our players arent that elite. Maybe its because our GM sucks at building a team the right way. We could bring in Crosby and he somehow wouldnt fit in.
You have what you have. You must find something that works for now..
They haven't done much post Olympics.
I still go with:
Nash-Stepan-MSL
Pouliot/Kreider-Brass-Zucc
Pouliot/Kreider-Richards-Hags
4th line
“When you get to this point of the season, it’s more about work ethic than talent,” Nash told The Post. “When I look at my shifts, the difference between when I’m scoring and not scoring is probably the time I spend on the inside.
“It’s not like I don’t want to, but I have to do a better job of getting to the inside.”
That's all well and good. I'm simply saying that Nash on the LW doesn't work. We've tried that before. Also, he and MSL are both guys who want the puck on their stick. That causes problems. The same sort of problems when you put Zucc and MSL on a line together. Zucc is MSL-lite, so not only is he on the wrong side of the ice, but you now have two players doing the same kind of thing.
Making it work isn't always an option. Sometimes the reality is that it just won't work with what you have.
Earlier this year. It was brief. When have we tried Nash on LW?

Not going to read this whole thread, but TB fan in peace
Looking at your roster, it looks solid. What is wrong with the team and how is MSL doing? Is he doing alright? Haven't gotten to watch any Rangers games.
Rick Nash has 32 points in 52 games.
according to this board, he should be a 2nd/3rd liner
Honestly, I don't remember (I want to say Callahan?). But I remember AV saying he was moving him back to the right wing because he looks more comfortable there.Maybe I blocked this out of my memory like a lot of the early part of the year, but I don't remember this. Who'd he play with?
The Rangers are a hodge-podge. The pieces don't fit together. Its a hopeless situation. Very disappointing. The Garden makes their money. The players get their money. The team remains the same. Rinse. Spit. Repeat. Give them a few more million per year. Rinse. Spit. Repeat.
When have we tried Nash on LW?
Gaborik played the left side in that formation.A large chunk of last season when we tried the superstar line of Nash, Richards and Gaborik.

That's such a cop-out for him, IMO.31 is right, Nash wasn't the LW on that line. Gaborik playing LW was a big part of why he had such a bad start to the year... and never really recovered his game.

Yeah, that's actually pretty much my view.Maybe. Gabby's always struck me as a pretty sensitive guy who doesn't require a whole lot to shake his confidence. He was clearly uncomfortable where he was playing. His discomfort led to bad play which put him in Tortorella's doghouse.
Should he be able to get over it? Sure he should have. I just don't think he did.

Columbus fan coming in absolute peace, but what you see is what you get with Nash. He always talks about the things that need to be done to the media, but he never actually goes out and impliments what he preaches. He had 2 seasons under Hitch where he was good with and without the puck, but unfortunately that fire died.

I did think that Gaborik was the last one that they should try at LW.
Disagree. I distinctly remember him playing the LW for a considerable amount of time with differing levels of success. Also, his start was the only redeeming part of that entire season for Gaborik. 5 goals in his first 5 games and only 7 in his next 40+. Nash struggled to put the puck in the net out of the gate. 3 goals in his first 14 games. He ended up on the RW after that.
