Rumors

Word is circulating that the Blues are in play for a high end player out of the east and the name Patrik Berglund has entered the trade talk and hasn't been removed out of it. Things could get interesting down the stretch.

I would go as far to say you made your team worse so far. Way softer (minus your 4th line), and your D is suspect. Rosival is far from a top line D, Bieksa is great but prone to blunders.

Yah I realize they have gotten softer. But Richards had a massive salary. Way over paid imo. And as for Morrow, it might have been a bad deal. But since he might be injured untill the end of the season. It might be better to have someone who would put up points. But your right. I am working on a couple trades that would add some robust point getters. See if they work out.

Sabres GM Darcy Regier has been busy working the phones all afternoon and have made two huge deals that are bound to bring Buffalo back on the map, in term of their present and future.

In a mega blockbuster deal, the Buffalo Sabres and the Carolina Hurricanes have yet again made a deal.

:sabres

Eric Staal

:canes

Derek Roy
Tyler Ennis
3rd '09

This deal might have the best player right now coming to Buffalo but we've given up a top prospect in Tyler Ennis to Carolina as well who's having a magnificient season in the WHL. Eric Staal will join Tim Connolly and Patrice Bergeron, along with Drew Stafford and Thomas Vanek and give Buffalo a solid core at the forward position.

In another deal, Buffalo and Toronto have made a transaction.

:sabres

Lee Stempniak

:leafs

Luke Adams

Buffalo adds depth to their forward position making two complete lines in their top 6 positions.

Upon commissioner approval. However, keep in mind that Buffalo is not acquiring Eric Staal for scrubs. Derek Roy is a number 1 center and Tyler Ennis looks to be a sure thing at the moment as well.

Discuss.
