Michalek is the best player in the trade. He's so underrated.

I'm also going to give this a veto. Just like the vetoed Parise trade, this trade ruins the direction of one of the teams. Phoenix is looking to get younger and semi-rebuild. This trade does not help them in any way.

have made a deal, pending league approval.

:sabres

Patrice Bergeron
Mark Stuart
Chuck Kobasew

:bruins

Jason Pominville
Nathan Paetsch
Tim Kennedy

Buffalo is happy to acquire a player of Bergeron's calibre. The reason of this trade is the lack of depth at the C position for Buffalo. Lindy Ruff's system looks perfect for a player like Patrice Bergeron. Kobasew will be counted upon for his two-way game and offensive input here and there.

Thanks Boston. You've been a good trading partner.

POMINVILLE A BRUIN!

Boston - Today Boston pulled off a large deal involving Patrice Bergeron, Jason Pominville and four other players. The Bruins acquired forwards Tim Kennedy and Jason Pominville, along with Defense man Nathan Paetsch for Forwards Patrice Bergeron, Chuck Kobasew and defense man Mark Stuart.

Bergeron became expendable with the emergence of David Krejci plus because of his injured past. Paetsch should fit in well and will solidify an already solid defense and Pominville will be the star winger Marc Savard needed to excel his game to a new level. Tim Kennedy will be playing in the AHL for the Providence Bruins for now.

I love this trade from both team's perspectives.

While we're speaking of PMDmen, Zidlicky is available, but I can't be bothered to look at which roster needs one... Field your offers, asking price is not too high actually. Mainly prospects/picks is what I'm looking at.

The Ducks are looking to move Pronger tonight and are looking over 3 offers, so if you're interested in him then send in your offer quick! Also still shopping Scott Niedermayer, Teemu Selanne, Rob Niedermayer and Todd Marchant.

sorry Im throwing out a veto for that trade ..

you guys agreed but PHO got the shaft big time.

RW Viktor Tikhonov is better than C Brendan Morrison
D Zbynek Michalek is better than D Kent Huskins
C Martin Hanzal is better then LW Travis Moen

Huskins Morrison and Moen are all UFA's ... -_-

Phoenix does this why?

Its a horrible trade overall.

I veto this trade as well.

HI there;

I m Vetoing two trade 1st one; Carey Price for Jeff Carter,James van Riemsdyk,Kevin Marshall
I just don t know why Flyers would even considering these trade.

and most of all like cmon;

2nd one; '09 1st Round Pick, '09 2nd Round Pick, '10 2nd Round Pickin,Alex Pietrangelo, Dave Perron, Lars Eller, Brett Sonne, and Paul Kariya for Vincent Lecavalier I understand the Paul Karyia+ Brett + Lars but not there David Perron + Alex and not there 1st 09.

Like St Louis are in rebuild periode and not a trading frenzie.

Like that trade just does not make sense.

Tiny trade announcement:

to

: MIN 4th 2009
to

: C Jim Slater

enthropi declared: "We wanted to shore up some depth at C for future moves and Slater is a guy who brings intensity every shift and is also decent on the dot, and is more defensively responsible than Shepperd at the moment. We feel he still has some decent upside and that he'll fit right in alongside Pouliot and Cluster**** *cough*, sorry, meant to say Clutterbuck..."

i think we need to sort out the veto situation. how many vetoes make a trade void, and what's the time limit for getting that amount of vetoes? if there isn't a time limit i think there should be, so that someone doesn't make a move and then a bunch of other moves only to have their frist trade vetoed 3 days later, for example. also, i really don't think vetoes are necessary at all; if the two GMs agree on a trade and think its fair then the trade should be passed, plain and simple. lastly, i don't understand all of those votes to veto my trade with Phoenix, it may be a little lopsided but he sent the offer to me and we both agreed on it. if that trade is veto worthy then so are the Lecavalier, Spezza and Frolov trades.

The Lecav Spezza and Frolov trades had decent comparables coming back, or atleast prospects. They were mostly all Quantity for Quality trades.

You sent him

Garbage

for

Gold

That in itself is worth a veto.

Although I think C-Saku Koivu might need to step in for HH and establish a veto rule because once a trade has been made 3 days ago it seems weird to start arguing vetos for it, if it was THAT bad people would of been calling it off when it happened (ala the PHX-ANA trade)

I second that motion, something needs to be clarified about voided trades. I cringe every time I see Redden on ATL's roster right now...

yup good point, the Kovy trade was pretty brutal too. but i didn't veto it, even though i think it was unfair, because the GM's agreed to it and it's their decision. if you agree to a deal then you should be committed to going through with that deal, we shouldn't allow all the GM's to bail each other out every time someone gets hosed, bad trades get made in sports all the time.

enthropi continues to wheel and deal:

: Zidlicky

to

: Klesla

enthropi said: "I needed to move Zidlicky's salary for the purpose of Gabby's contract negotiations. When I heard Klesla was on the market, I immediately thought this was a roster move made in heaven. And CBJ's GM thought the same as well. Fastest trade ever conclude in my time as a GM, one of those that just makes too much sense..."
