If they lose again, there is absolutely no reason the core should stay together, none. If Dubas doesn’t want to shake up the core and fire Keefe as well, he can go too.
Dubas will be gone if they lose to Tampa. Shanny might survive to hire new GM and coach and deal with Matty extension. No idea what they do with Willie.

im not even mad, i turned it off in the second lol, i will watch again if they make the second round. its just not fun to watch being outplayed and outcoached every game lol.
I get not wanting to watch, but why waste your time bragging about it or posting on a message board focusing on the team?

Positive outlook:

We played pretty well as a whole and could have won the game to eliminate a very good Tampa team in 5.

Negative outlook:

We've found a way to win but we've been outplayed in 4 of 5 games this series and could just as easily be down 3-2 or have been eliminated already.

Historic outlook:

10 straight elimination game losses and boy did we ever follow the script. Fall behind and have to chase the game, opposing goalie plays great, our goalie let's in a back breaking softie, ridiculous over the glass penalty (fortunately killed it off). We had the lead for about 30 seconds, that's something new I guess. The only elimination game lead I can think of off the top of my head is game 6 last year.

Sammy has to be a lot better. But if Keefe decides to put In Holl again then we’re toast.

Yeah but game 6 last year we were still down 2-0 to start and had to come back.

It's not about if they lose again, the only chance I would give them would be if they finished the season winning the cup or coming short in the finals. Anything less and it's time to blow things up. These guys are in their prime they aren't getting younger or better.

Didn't watch, deleted the recording.

Watched Beyond Paradise, and a couple of episodes season 12 Death in Paradise.

I take it Holl embraced his role as Holl?

You can bellyache about Holl and Keefe until the cows come home but that one goal on Samsonov is the weakest playoff goal against a Leafs' goalie I can recall.

Trying to be generous, and also keeping the expectations lower. But you are right.

Shit like this is so frustrating. The hockey community collectively whines about all the Leafs talk and attention, and then Canadian companies like theScore fixate on the Leafs when another Canadian team was actually eliminated last night. Brutal stuff.

Have you seen their D and goaltending? Do you think it’s possible for them to win the Cup?

Tampa is a better playoff team than the Leafs.
It`s hard to win a series when you are the second best team in the series.
Never said otherwise. He mentioned that the only elimination game lead he can think of was Game 6 last year and we were down that game as well.

The have 3 shots at it. They lost the first one. It's not like Tampa dominated. Let's see how the second attempt goes. You're talking about the team that has been the best team in the league over the last 5 years. They're not going down without a fight. The Leafs will just have to come hard in game 6 and show that they have another gear.

Keefe and Dubas need to figure out if this team follows analytics or doesn't because Holl should not be out there.

Believe it or not, that's by far a lot better than quite a few teams in the playoffs. Look at the teams like NYI, NJD, EDM, WPG. Players elevate their games come playoffs, enough with excuses all the time. We have been hearing this shit for too long now. I can't say for others but I want results now or they can go f*** themselves.

I can see Babcock smiling ear to ear at this team.
