Finns dont care about soccer, most kids ends up playing hockey. Thats a huge advantage.

True but I just pointed out that it's pretty ridiculous to say that Finns don't care about soccer. We care but we just suck at it (maybe a little bit like Canada? )

How is soccer easier to play? You mean like because it doesn't require ice? Cause as a game, it's very hard and sophisticated.

It's just far less expensive. A pair of skates costs more than soccer registration for a whole year.

Well, that's not true either. Depending on the club. But yeah, hockey is more expensive. I was just wondering what your point about the "easier to play" was.

The only real difference is the gear. I think the money difference is way overblown. It's not that huge of a difference. For an average family, not a deal breaker.

More in terms of entry level costs, mainly equipment and icetime/fieldtime.

Soccer is cheaper in both cases.

Keep in mind, I hung up my skates (I still play ball hockey) but I still play a lot of soccer.
