I moved into a new house and there were THOUSANDS of cards left Behind in binders and boxes… does anyone here purchase cards?

You should figure out when they are from. Unfortunately if they are from 1990-1998, they probably have little to no value, unless there are some rare gems in there. Although there are few cards such as rookies from OPC Premier that are gaining value.

No one will buy a blind a lot of cards from you.

Visiting my parents over the weekend, finally took my old collection out of their attic. My collection was 70s up to early 90s. So many jagr, moginly, bure etc rookie cards .. all worth less then what I paid for them 30 years ago. Got like 10 brian leetch rookie cards, worthless.

Happy I tried to get as many old school cards as I could. Believeau, espositos, lafleur, dionne, and some other rookie cards. 2nd year gretzky, gordie howe.

Why the f*** do I have like 6 craig janney and brian bellows rookie cards?

might buy a becket to go through them. if I ever get hit by a train and cant move for a few months.

That sounds like my sweet spot, although I don't pay for Janney, he's so 1989. If your 1989-1992 cards are well taken care of and pack fresh, that's exactly the area I'm looking to buy lot deals of.

Finally got the grades in on my ultra-modern bulk order of 111 cards with PSA. About 37 9s, one 7, and 73 10s. I was pretty loose with my submissions, as I got these in before PSA jacked up the price. I was paying $9/card, which still brings value for a PSA 9.

I would say the grading is still slightly stricter than Beckett, but not a massive difference. If I'd gone Beckett, I would have probably seen about 25 9s, but also maybe some BGS 10s too.

My modern submission just got moved up to "QA check #1". A bunch of early Gretzky cards in there that I'm excited to get back.

Yes, the PSA 9s sell for more than BGS 9s for sure. That's why I was a bit loose with my submissions this time. I'd say a PSA 9 adds at least $30 (more for higher end cards) to value, and it only cost me $9 each for grading.

It's been over 9 months. I still don't have the cards in hand though.

Overall, pretty happy though. I have a fair number of 10s coming my way.

I think PSA 9s for modern and PSA 8s and 9s for junk wax age cards are underrated, value-wise, for key base cards and base card RCs.

Woot. Second bulk order just got moved up to step 7/8, quality check #2. Hopefully that will be done within a few weeks. I'm more curious about his order, as it is the "modern order", which includes a lot of cards from the early 80s.

BGS 9's are great for cracking out and sending to PSA to get a 10.

Anyone else feel like the bubble burst? I was looking at some of my Young Guns, Crosby, Ovechkin, McDavid, etc. When I was looking at the sold prices on eBay, a lot of them looked 25% less than what they were selling a month ago. Sometimes more.

Kane Young Gun, for example, was selling for $400 at one point or close to it, and now is selling for $225-250.

Anyone feel like they are going to continue to fall from where they are from?

They all lost early and summer/off season time and yes the bubble has burst from peak.

Plus you must be thinking of raw kane young guns. Last psa 10 sold for $2000 cad.

Beckett is easily stricter than PSA.

A beckett 10, not black label is rare. PSA 10s are very frequent

PSA has no 9.5. So the PSA 10 is equivalent to a bgs 9.5 or 10.

I'd say it's slightly larger to get a psa 10 than a bgs 9.5 though. It's not really that one is stricter. It's just a different grading scale.

It'd probably be easier to get excited if UD's quality control hadn't been so horrendous this year. Even in series 2 all my base cards had round corners. A lot of banged up inserts too. I'm expecting the same from this.

I do like the idea of more young guns variations and the 2005/06 tribute set, but not about to pay the current box prices for those. IMO they should have included an auto in each box. The odds of pulling a Laffy auto are 1:163,299... That's nuts.

I have a BGS 9.5 Ovechkin SPA FWA with three 10 sub grades. I should probably crack it and send to PSA to get a 10, which now goes for more than BGS 9.5.

That 05-06 tribute set is on the bottom of my list when it comes to the inserts. I’d rather see more products like UD3 and Ultimate Victory. As for cash grabs, UD does enough of that between SPGU, Black Diamond, SPx, Synergy and Allure. They’re atleast replacing the damaged cards but the replacements however have been just random stuff unfortunately. I’m curious to see how my Artifacts redemptions turn out.

So much the person(s) had buyers remorse and hour after the money was sent.

It cost me 1500 to have it next day shipped right to their door.

Love my Taycan tho. Do it again.
