Here's the current standings, we're all kind of beating up on each other. TZE I think missed the draft and ended up with an auto-drafted team of injured players.

Keep in mind, the scoring for this "week" is actually the next two weeks, with a 3-day holiday break included in there.

It's because TZE is so loyal to DeKeyser, isn't it? Cursed.

I am running a mash unit. So the tank was in early.. I should pick up DeKeyser to be my official tank commander. I have just been autofilling my lineup with designs on next year.

I unfortunately got stuck in Pittsburgh through massive flight cancellations on one of those mass flight cancellation weekends. Auto pick of the keepers gave me Panarin which was great my first heavy hitter keeper given expansion entry. My other two were unfortunately Malkin and Price.

I guess this should be a good time to say for you playoff bound gang, pretty much nothing is nailed down if you want to make trades.

I was competitive until this past week where I think my entire team is either IR'd or Covided... Side note every year I manage to screw myself with goalies. All I want is two stable starters....

Who was the smarty that picked up Otter? I just want to know he has a good home.

I think Winger but I might be wrong there, but I feel like he did that one.

I did, and then Dallas didn't play him but they had him on the roster, then off the roster, and yahoo was doing weird things with their designations. I think he was the guy who didn't appear to be on the NHL roster but Yahoo wasn't putting an NA tag on him, and I couldn't just eat the roster spot so I had to let him go.

Yeah I had to IR Byfield for the opening which pissed me off too. A real arm behind the back season. Sorry I will try more in the backhalf the year. I have had just frankly a shit ton going on since basically August. The Mods know a lot of it, but actually changed jobs early this month after what was a very trying fall, one of the reasons was work life balance.

I realize even while getting caved all year others rely on me to play hard. Thinks of the scene from Rudy where he tells him he is an end from Purdue... But again will try to make more moves, lock in on my eight keepers and open for business.

I hope all you gals/guys have a wonderful holiday period and let's all have a better next year than the last couple! I really do appreciate having a place to do this with people who know hockey. Even if it does look like I am building the expansion Atlanta Thrashers:laugh:

I have him now. I couldn't believe some schlub dropped him, so I scooped him up like a 5 year old's Superman ice cream. I couldn't drop Adin Hill fast enough. I'm only a 5-5 team, but it's a good home. I'm trending skyward. Started 1-4 with 1621 points with injuries to multiple key players. Since then 4-1 with 2136 points.

I also just want to mention that @Winger98 dropped him on Nov 14, and Otter made his debut on Nov 16

Full disclosure, I didn't actually pick him up until he had been sitting around as a free agent in the league for like a week

Latest standings. Trade deadline is tomorrow.

Can’t say I’m too unhappy with my little run the past couple months. I’m coming for YOU!

I dropped Laf, he’s worth a shot for a rebuilding team

Not a huge fan, already kept Kakko and have to drop him for keepers more than likely.

I actually have decent young pieces, no goalies is killing me especially with them overvalued in scoring. I just between injuries, missing the draft and all that went full Phoenix/Buffalo and said **** it if that isn't clear... Hughes is breaking out, got some other solid young guys, Laine seems to be awakening.

I am always loathe to move picks because I honestly don't understand our drafting model still where the keepers come out at the end. Like today I am looking at Malkin and a 14th for Kempe and 2nd round pick, that seems unfair to the other people playing. Extra pick upgrade to me in a tank season, if it really meant the correct round okay interesting but it probably doesn't and I don't remember any of the picks actually moving that we flipped around last year because teams moved out. Think they were involved in a couple of trades, but again I missed the draft so maybe it did work out better than I thought. Think I am just holding in until the draft and hoping this time I am not stuck in an airport because of Southwest being the worst and I actually for one year get to start with decent keepers and my draft...

Actually with all that said why the hell not, Malkin has been traded for futures. I know my 8 keepers and he isn't one of them.

I have been on autopilot this year, my team is struggling and like all my draft picks this year have bombed. It's actually impressive how poorly I drafted in retrospect.

1. (7) Ryan O'Reilly C
2. (17) Alexander Radulov LW,RW
3. (27) Alec Martinez D
4. (37) MacKenzie Weegar D
5. (47) Claude Giroux C,LW
6. (57) Tyler Toffoli LW,RW
7. (67) Logan Couture C
8. (77) Conor Garland LW,RW
9. (87) Jake Muzzin D
10. (97) Marco Rossi C
11. (107) Rasmus Dahlin D
12. (117) Jaccob Slavin D
13. (127) Alex Nedeljkovic G
14. (137) Jamie Drysdale D

Other than Weegar, Toffoli is probably playing better than all of them now and I dropped him because it got so bad in Montreal, lol

Looks unlikely that I'm going to make the playoffs, I'm still trying to gun for that last spot though.

You're simply unlucky I didn't play. I see a lot of guys on that list I would have grabbed. :help:
