I would like to flip one of Guentzel or Rust for a goalie, obviously a difference in talent there and I would expect a pretty good one for Guentzel, but yeah if one of those interests people give me a shout. Honestly haven't had time to pull up everyone's rosters... That kind of week. But at least I have a tandem at this point that is a relief.

Also damn @Winger98 for picking up the Stars goalie of the future...

wow, I totally didn't realize we were starting week 1 already. For some reason I thought the draft was a week before the start of the season. heh.

Yeah, I think Holtby has a lot of good years left in him. :DD

@So ExSeidered tough loss this week, seems like you'd have had me beat if you had set your lineups everyday.

I don't know if this is your first time playing on Yahoo, but you can set your lineup for days in advance and kinda "set it and forget it." If you make a roster move it will jumble everything and you'll have to set it for those days in advance again, but you'll figure it out as the weeks go by.

For example, if you're looking at the projected totals for the week, you see some teams right now have projected totals in the 350-400 range and other teams have projected totals around 250-300. Those teams with the higher projected totals have set their lineups for the full week and the ones with the lower projected totals haven't done that.

It's impossible to remember to check this thing and set your lineups every day (we all have lives and shit to do), so best thing to do is set weekly lineups on Monday and then check back to see if there's any injuries whenever you have time.

Hope that helps!

Thanks for the help. I am still trying to figure things out. And I have been rather busy. I will look into it for sure!

Man, as good as the week started off you still tracked me down, lol. Tie ballgame now, 2 on 2 to see who wins it, but you have a goalie, don't like my chances.

what a close matchup, as soon as i saw binnington play for you i had little hope. The Lidstrom division is stacked this year

Yeah it is! I'm 1-3 and I've scored a ton of points and keep getting beat by top scorers each weekend, lol. Now for another tough matchup with the defending champs this week, sheesh

I went out of my way to get Connor Zary last night to get compliant with having three "prospects." When I grabbed him he had an "NA" tag, which would have allowed me to bury him in that spot and go get someone useful. Except, after I picked him up that NA tag disappeared. Now, I'm looking at dumping him, trying to find another guy who is either actually playing and fits the prospect requirements or wasting a bunch of roster moves to get another guy who is (apparently hopefully) NA eligible to let me get another guy to actually ice.

I've looked around and I can't find anything saying Zary was called up, so what am I missing here?

Wait, I thought we had previously clarified that you do not have to have 3 prospects on your roster. That was a previous misunderstanding. I believe the only rule regarding prospects (defined as having been drafted in the previous 3 NHL drafts) is that you can keep a maximum of 3 from one season to the next. Otherwise, during the season, their status is irrelevant.

Someone please correct me if I'm wrong.

Also, I'm getting smoked this season, which really sucks since I actually liked my roster after the draft. Too many injuries to top players and too many underachievers. Oh well. Good chance I'll be retooling this season. If I don't get things turned around, I'll check in with all you high rollers when we get closer to the deadline

Honestly, I don't remember. I just didn't want it to feel like I was cheating folks with a roster that didn't fit the rules.

Yeah, it was agreed that we don't need to carry three prospects unless it's our preference. I keep carrying McTavish but I'm also hoping they send him back to Peterborough, lol

Looks like COVID postponements are going to start affecting our season again now, good times!

Wish we could put the league on pause this week. There's already a small number of games scheduled for this week, and there's going to be a ton canceled too. Just a crap shoot to see who's going to have the most players this week it seems.

Yeah, I just counted and I'm losing ~33 games in postponements this week, no idea next week if this continues.

Yeesh. That's brutal.

Who is running the powerhouse team this year? I'd imagine the contraction made it way easier for everyone to get full rosters that are a little more fun.

I don't miss playing but I do miss seeing the standings and following along, oddly enough.

@Hammettf2b , @Sparty, and @RayMoonDoh put up a lot of points from week to week. I'm hobbling along in fourth, but I'm thinking I'll prolly chalk up another loss this week with all of the missed games.

I think @The Zetterberg Era is getting hammered by injuries this year.
