OH!
Wanted to mention living in washington dc we had no problem with our shower water / house water. No dry skin or red skin irritation of any kind, scalp or skin... move to pa and ta-daa... everyone has dry skin and the works.... so instead of attacking the dry skin, the affect, and not the cause - water, I figured out you do not need a gigantic water softener filter installed on the pipes.... i have finally got a water softener showerhead kit and the reviewers claim brilliance....
Can not wait to try it out oh man is tough water a massive pain for anyone with it that soldiers on through...

Been a minute since I looked at what was new in the anime space so today I checked out the first episode of Dandadan which has been getting some attention. Given the title, I expected it to be vaguely ridiculous.

I had no true idea. I've never personally done acid but I now feel like I can understand what the experience may be like.

It's been a few years but I'm starting to watch The Americans again. I forget why but I stopped watching after season two. Maybe because Prime removed it from their streaming? Thankfully it is on Hulu now (has been for a while).
A fantastic show from start to finish.
Right near the top of my all time favorite shows. Sticks the landing too.

I live near the border so I watch the Americans too.

oh, right I did see that. no he doesn't. The pinky just goes off screen and back on overlapping the ring finger in the shot.

I liked that one a lot. I haven't been let down by a Rachel Sennott movie yet. Bottoms and Shiva Baby are both great too. Though "I Used to be Funny" is just good overall, she's still really good in it.
Bottoms was really great.

It’s probably the best raunchy high school comedy of the last 25 years lol
I think I still put Superbad over it, but it's close. And Superbad has the nostalgia advantage of coming out while I was 20 years old in college. I expected it to basically be just girl Superbad (like Booksmart, which is also pretty good) but i love that they went further into ridiculous stuff and parody.

Very rarely do shows get it right for a finale, they did.
Seriously. it's the only show I have watched where I might say the finale is the best episode of the show. It's at least in the running.

Oh my poor bank account.

I bought a new computer a couple weeks ago and now my TV up and died on me last night :ha:

Not the biggest surprise in the world, it's an 8 year-old Vizio whose picture was starting to go...but I really wasn't expecting it to just catastrophically fail out of the blue like it did. Damn. At least I held off on getting a new monitor...

That sucks....hate when stuff breaks like that.

Knock on wood, my 2011 plasma is still kicking. IT's got some dead lights, but still functions really well.

The Unbearable Weight of Massive Talent was a lot of fun.

Challengers was great. I almost changed my mind before I started it because I just didn’t buy that it would work, but I was hooked. Great performances. The finale was so over the top with its slow mo and I loved it I was all in

Rewatched Arcane before s2 next month; still incredible.

caught up in The Penguin and it’s really good. Cristin Milioti should be a full on superstar. She steals the show in damn near everything she’s in. Colin Ferrel is also great. He usually is but this is just so damn different and weird for him. Like I genuinely don’t understand how he ever got cast, but he crushes it.

I highly doubt S2 lives up to S1 but I'm still looking forward to it.
it certainly has a high bar. I just want it to stay good even if it's not quite as good. Just don't crap out

Another show I am excited for and kind of nervous about is Severance. I absolutely loved S1 but it's definitely moving to a different overall situation than S1 was built on, which isn't always easy. The creator said it has a 3 season outline before it ever started so I am cautiously optimistic, but the last show I watched where the paradigm changed as much as this seems like it will was Westworld...

Damn...pops has gone from 405 to 235 since July. He's getting closer to my weight now. He's extremly dehydrated and can barely move and can sleep all day if he could. Not sure he will make chemo/radiation scheduled for him next month. He's looking forward to eternal sleep he told me. He can also barely eat anything without gagging. He will probably be staying at the cancer lodge across the street from the hospital he goes to (Jubilee) 5 days a week while he does his treatment for 6 weeks.

Well, he’s back in hospital for a month. Won’t be doing treatment, he’s got operations to do now and it’s spread to liver and tailbone and found red blotches in him. I’ll see ya all next season, I’m done watching hockey for a the rest of the season.

Oh no. Obviously not good news, I'm so sorry.

Colin is absolutely brilliant with Miloti, they basically made up an entire person to play a character that Colin is orchestrating. It's insane.

Even though I have a few adblockers for Chrome they're still getting through. Changing my main web browser to Brave now...
Been using Brave for a while, it's the only thing that makes using this board bearable by blocking most of the intrusive ads.

Ah mate. I'm sorry you gotta go through this and see your Pops have to battle this. Far more important things than allowing a dipshit like Sullivan to annoy you, hope you still pop back on here for a distraction but take care of yourself as well mate.
