Also, related to puppy/dog chat: anyone have any good tips for introducing a dog into a house with a young (~2 year old), fairly friendly, spayed cat? With my new job and our upcoming relocation to a smaller city with cheaper real estate, my wife and I are thinking about getting a dog as well, but we'd like to not overly traumatize the cat and we've heard from other people it will go smoother with a younger cat than waiting a few more years. I assume the golden rule is introduce them slowly and with separate spaces, but any other tips would be appreciated.

New Girl is actually pretty funny imo. It does the silly stuff really well. It struggles with the raunchy stuff though. Schmidt in particular is like two different characters smashed into one, and only one of them is funny. CeCe and Coach get some of that too. Nick and Winston are funnier than most sitcom characters I've seen in a while though. And jess is fine as a plot driver I guess. Has some funny boyfriends at least  The show isn't incredible, but it's well ahead of the average sitcom imo. Easy show to have on and play some switch at the same time and still get some laughs.

Greys anatomy is a nightmare though. Luckily my wife got sick of it pretty quickly.

Late to the party but I really liked New Girl for a 20 minute sitcom, although I think it ran out of steam after they resolved they'd ran the romance arcs the first time and got into post-breakup spinning things out. I don't think it helped that while they did a great job of developing them as caricatures, they didn't do a good job of giving them conflicting impulses (bar Schmidt) which restricted the room to make it more than jokes.

yeah I was never invested in the drama of New Girl at all. I'm watching that show for Nick's nonsense and some classic Winston/Cece mess-arounds.

IMO Scrubs has far and away the best drama in a sitcom that I've watched.

Dont own a cat. But Id make it as positive as possible, plenty of space and have ways for both to escape if they feel they need. If either one feels cornered they will probably lash out.

Man I find it funny how anyone here can take any comments and find it triggering for trolling when you're literally speaking the truth and facts.

Oh the weak sensibilities of dim witted wankers.

I dunno if this holds true for cats and dogs, but I know for cats and cats we were advised to try feeding them on opposite sides of a door, or playing with them, so they associated each other's smell with good things rather than threats.

I nearly brought up the same point  To me Scrubs remains the gold standard for American sitcoms for how effortlessly it switched from drama to comedy.

Nah mate. I basically said I would hope a team wouldn't be in Quebec because of the weird narrative by the media there about needing to learn a new language or pander to just local players. Which isn't inclusive at all.

A lot of the shit you read on the main board, Tate is their King. It's disgusting and I hope he rots in jail forever.
Lol he self snitched on himself and got in shit. Tells his girls they are not allowed to leave the house and talk to anyone, turns them into cam women and steals their money. I saw a podcast today from Aba N Preach.

Haha just bugging you.

You aren’t wrong about the Quebec/Montreal thing though. I do think they deserve another team however.

I think when they knock off that need to learn French bs, I'd be on board as well. The way the media and a faction of fans pressure it, I've never been a fan.

Edit: and I mean no offense to the great Francophone wankers we have here like @Scandale du Jour

I don't know how to tell you this, but Mexican Coke is a myth. Has been for a few years now. The bottles are the same, but that ain't real sugar anymore.

Actually…we’re both right.

“Mexicoke” as I call the stuff made for the export market (so what I’d get here in Canada) is made with real cane sugar and therefore is marketed as such.

Here's what I get at Walmart… :)

The bottles say Cane Sugar on the back which look like this… :)

On the other hand…Coca-Cola served locally in Mexico however uses bullshit sweeteners. Go figure.:rolleyes::thumbd::thumbd:

Question. I read there was a lot of talk of the US ditching putting their clocks back in October and staying on DST permanently. Would that mean from Oct-March the time difference to the UK would be -4 instead of -5?

Ah...see, that second photo is the 'Mexican Coke' that I see in stores (and some restaurants) around here. So infuriating that they/stores still try to charge 2-3x as much for the same exact product.
