Our rep told us they didn't really hold much of an inventory back and there's not much left outside the 200s. Not sure how true that it is though..
Interesting. I just want to be in the building and don't really care if I'm touching the roof. Hopefully there are some individuals left for ~$200.

If that's true it's a disgrace how they're handling this. I've got a partial plan and the only thing I was offered was the 16 game package which I should have taken, and even then I was told they had like 4 tickets in section 215 left so I decided to wait. In the past all partial plan holders were offered rounds 1 & 2 and then rounds 3 & 4 in seats similar to where the tickets in your plan were. I was waiting for that to come around but apparently it's not. I asked my rep the deal and he assured me that priority for buying playoff tickets before the public was in order of STH, then half season and then partial season holders, which sounded fair to me. Now we're less than 48 hours from public on-sale and still nothing, however I need to notify them by today if I want to opt in or out for a partial plan next year. If I opt in, they take $100 per seat just to have the privilege to buy a plan next year. What's the point of having a plan?

Editing this because I went through my emails with my rep and I see that he told me each group of ticket holders would have a specific time slot to order playoff tickets in order of priority: Full season ticket holders, half season ticket holders, flex plan holders, partial plan and group ticket leaders. This was almost two weeks ago and still no update other than I can put a deposit on full season tickets for next year and have access to buying playoff tickets now.

TM now lists STH presale for Monday and general sale Tuesday. So they moved the dates back.

I was just about to post this. Interesting development. I'm sure they're trying their best to stall till it's confirmed we're playing the Rangers and then jack the remaining tickets to the moon, all while trying to reel in as many season ticket deposits as they can.

Where did you see that on Ticketmaster out of curiosity? I'm sure I'm just missing it but can't find it.
I'm seeing that now too. If you click the playoff game you're interested in, above the list view on the right and click "View Onsale Times"

They're 100% going to jack the prices and use it as leverage once the series with the Rangers is confirmed.

Yeah, I've resigned myself to the fact that Tuesday will probably be my last game of the season I'll attend no matter what. It's a luxury for me to go as often as I already do and can't really allow myself to drop a hefty amount of dough for one playoff game.

Personally I've always found you're better off calling and speaking to your rep instead of using emails.

I spoke to him in person at a game a couple weeks ago and was told all of this as well and got the hard sell to upgrade to season tickets. I just emailed this week because I still haven't heard anything. In the good old days you'd get an invoice for your playoff tickets halfway through February and have a month to commit to the first two rounds. Now I'll be lucky to get a one hour window to go to an online free-for-all to buy scraps left by season ticket holders who now have the extra tickets they bought listed on ticketmaster by the thousands.

Those tickets for the playoffs aren't all necessarily from people who bought extras though because I noticed last night that my tickets for the playoffs are already in my account and I can list them for sale if I actually wanted to.

We were only offered full strips for extras with 4 seats being the max. It's a lot of money to shell out and sometimes not necessarily worth the risk to make a little bit of money for the headache it can be.

I'm not surprised the team opted to sell as many of those full 16 game strips as possible though.

The online window stuff sucks and Ticketmaster sucks even worse with all the fees but this is unfortunately the norm nowadays.

Don't feel that bad. Personally, I don't see the reason to spend hundreds of dollars per ticket for a round 1 game. Round 3 or 4, that's different.

They are 100% waiting to see who they play. When it is the Rangers, I can easily see $150 pre fees for the 200 level.

Even assuming it's the Rags, over $200 for bottom of the barrel seats would be wild on a Mon-Thurs night.

Wishfully hoping for $150 to $175...but considering the 6 tix (uppers) I just had Sunday for meaningless Caps vs Rags would have went for over $600 on the open market, it isn't looking good.

I guess they want to have their cake and eat it too...sell most of the tickets up front just in case you don't get Devils-Rangers but turn the screws on the last batch of tickets to try to max out profit on a seemingly small number of tickets, seems a bit petty.

I think there's a lot of pent up demand too, hf skews a bit older but there are tons of Devils fans now who weren't even able to drive during the 2012 run that are in their 20s now.

We've only had 2 home playoff games since that 2012 run. People are desperate for some playoff hockey, add in that our team actually has some swagger instead of barely getting into the playoffs like 2018 and I don't think the prices are surprising at all. It being the Rangers obviously just bumps it up even more.

It's gonna be wild.

The Rangers home game for the worst seats will be more than this just based on what I've seen lately as face value for regular season. They will easily sell, probably to Ranger fans as it will be the cheaper option.

Yeah, definitely a lot of pent up demand. I was hoping to take my kids to their first playoff game, but (a) doesn't look like many tickets will be available, so they'll be hard to come by in the first place and (b) they are going to jack up the prices to ridiculous levels for any tickets that do hit the market.

Devils should be perennial playoff contenders for the foreseeable future, so will just have to wait a year or two until prices are more reasonable.

the biggest problem is they their messaging has been inconsistent and inaccurate. the original blast to season ticket holders said the order would be renewed red and black members, then ticket holders, then general public and all would have a chance for full playoff packages.

i was able to get a 4 pack for my plan but my family’s bigger than that and everyone wants tickets. i assumed they’d have a chance for another playoff package like it said, but my last email with the rep said that it’s going to be offering one game at a time only for the general onsale.

they didn’t have a clear strategy from the beginning, they probably oversold the initial onsale by giving season ticket holders the option to buy 4 extras and not holding anything back, and now there’s nothing left, so it’s second hand market or nothing and that’s one game at a time. they f’d up big time and are basically deciding what to do on the fly now. no surprise the onsale got pushed , hopefully it’s because they’re trying to figure out how to make it right by everyone they said would have an opportunity to buy tickets but i have doubts it will work out

I can explain this one. Resale onsale is when tickets are allowed to be re-sold on TM the red dots you see on the map.

Yeah plus I already have my seats in my account so anyone who renewed and signed up for pay as you play can list their tickets too.

Devils will also track this resale market between now and when they (finally) go on sale ... and will set the individual game pricing off of the price points at which tickets moved.

(Most) Ranger fans probably aren't buying yet ... even those the matchup is a near-certainty, anyone who buys at these prices will take a bath if it's a different matchup (and they try to unload them). I can't see prices going up from the current resale map on Ticketmaster (even when matchup is officila) so no need to buy now.

Parkmobile says parking is completely sold out for Tuesday's game. Am I out of luck finding parking?
Park on the broadstreet side. Always cheaper if your not freaked out by that part of town. 10$ by Hobbies deli but, get back to your car after the game. I stopped for a beer on Edison street and the lot was already locked. Lot closes one hour after the event.!
