Be intresting to see if any Devils fans make their way under the Hudson and to MSG. Don't recall there being many in 2012. I think the stigma of MSG being a dangerous environment to visiting fans is a thing long in the past. You see the crowd shots and it's bros and couples sitting together with split allegiances.

For those of you with access to the STH playoff presale, what kind of prices are we looking at? I have a partial plan and got an email yesterday saying I can buy 16 game playoff packages and that single game tickets will be available at a later date but I had to make the dreaded phone call to find out the details.

I think it depends on how the series goes and who is hosting. I'm not spending money on going to any away games that we couldn't advance/clinch on and even then I still might not go, especially for a 1st round series.

For example, 2006 game 4 I bought a ticket after we went up 3-0. That's the most Devils fans I've ever seen at MSG. I'd have never gone to it if we didn't have a chance to sweep them.

Still to this day one of the top 5 days of my entire existence on this planet! Had a blast before during and after that game. Yeah great turnout of Devils fans and we paid them back as much as we could!

Hard to really tell cause they don't break it down by game/round and instead list total price if the Devils play 4 home games in every round.

i think mine came out to $240/ticket for section 21. im pissed because the site glitched out and i couldn’t get the (less expensive) tickets i wanted and i panicked when those were available because i thought i’d get shut out completely. miserable experience honestly.

however i’m pretty sure this averages the price for the entire playoffs and just breaks them into equal payments per round - now that i think about it if they only play one round this feels like a scam

someone correct me if i’m wrong - i get 4 invoices for the total of 16 games and then i get charged as i go for the balance each round i think. they didn’t release any pricing info before the onsale and i didn’t really want to think about this since then. actually a pretty shitty way to do this

Doubt that's the case. I was given a breakdown per game for each round for my STH. That info just wasn't available on TM during the presale so the total price was displayed.

Should be 1 invoice per round but will be progressively priced from round 1 upwards. I'd imagine at a slightly higher price than STH discount.

But yea the whole experience really sucked. I kept trying to buy 4 in a group of 5 and it wouldn't allow me to leave a single seat open (and wouldn't allow me to buy 5..).. then I'd look again and somehow someone else grabbed 4 of those 5 and left a single open.

i paid 25% of the entire 16 game package, each invoice is priced the same apparently

that's insane.. makes no sense they would do it that way. Though wouldn't put it past them to credit you the round difference towards next year.. they love that.

Am I right when I say the old fashion pricing by a seating chart is almost a thing of the past? Depending on our demand the price on Ticketbastard and not on the resale side either keeps fluctuating too. Just saw a club seat at $232 think they usually go for more than that. I'm trying to see my extra today in section 15....

Feels like it's been gone for a very long time. I don't remember when variable pricing came in for us but it's really the norm almost everywhere now.

I didn't care for it at first but I like it more now for games that I miss.

they confirmed that the pricing increases each round and sent me a breakdown for my seats even though i’m paying 25% of the theoretical maximum (16 home games at the average price for all 4 rounds), so I guess they plan to either refund or credit the difference whenever their playoffs end.

still not clear how it will get done and i’m not happy with how little transparency there is with pricing and plans but oh well

At the very least offer to fans inside the building. Someone with two kids is on line for expensive food. Offer them for like $50. I done that with just lower bowl seats. Offer folks an upgrade that they can't refuse!

Someone did that for me a few years ago. We were walking out of one of the stores in the arena and someone came up to us asking if we wanted 4 club seats since they had different seats to sit in. It was a fantastic gesture and won't ever be forgotten. My kids still talk about it.

Where are the located? I may give them a try.
One near 106 area, and I believe one somewhere in the lower level

I must say. That new Street Taco vendor is pretty good. Good quality ingredients.

Definitely decent vs. what has been standard fare in the past.

Some of the food items in the arena are definitely improved. The BBQ vendor outside Section 4 is pretty solid as well. Hopefully that improvement continues next year.

How much though? Until the prices are reasonable I refuse to eat at the arena. I want fan friendly concession stand prices.

Red Bulls still haven't done it yet either but seem like they are dipping their toes in the water with an all you can drink for the season cup. It was $40 for the cup and you can drink as much soda/water for the entire season.
