Should pick once or twice ? Asking since I don't want to show who I'm picking. Then get what London happen with Zadorov.

You still gotta update BDB's picks too.... CBJ with 5 minutes left on the clock and then Pitts will be up.

lol, when you said that you didn't know who I was talking about when I said Rattie was already selected, I immediately thought you were trolling me again, and tried to think of another Rattie

haha next draft (year?) there will be some other opportunities for trolling.

Glad to see Jay McClement drafted, and into a starting role for the Yellow Jackets (the team picked a lot of prospects early)! A great value pick.

I remember when McClement was a prospect, projected to be the best defensive forward in the draft with future Selke trophy potential. he went in the 2nd round and has proven a quality bottom-6 forward, certainly a first-rate fourth liner for a cup run team. If he could crack the 20 goal plateau the Selke trophy voters would take notice of the hard-working quality checking pivot.

The only reason I took Mattias as my team's third bench instead was to get a much younger NHLer who in a top-6 role could still break out and increase his value in the coming season, something of consideration for a bench player.

McClement is a quality role player who has won TSN's 2013 Guy Carbonneau Award (for Top NHL Penalty Killer):

Do you think he would have won that award if he hadn't played for Toronto? Honestly?

EDIT: Not to take away from the fact that he is a top-notch defensive player.

He probably wouldn't have, just like he wouldn't have finished 6th in Selke voting if he wasn't in TOR. But he hasn't changed his game at all, just gotten more attention.

He's better defensively than Selke winner Toews. :p: Yeah, honestly!

(But the best defensive forwards are rarely honored by the Selke, which seems to be more of a top-6 scoring line player who plays good defense award these days. Carbo is the perfect player to name an award that does what the Selke used to do: recognize defensive-first play by forwards, and the best of the bunch.)

True, dat. He deserved recognition in the past as well. (Gawd, I hate the Leafs.)
