They were both in the rotation from what I saw.

From Taylor on the PP practice today:

Top unit: Erik Karlsson, Kris Letang, Sidney Crosby, Evgeni Malkin, Bryan Rust
Second unit: Matt Grzelcyk, Rickard Rakell, Lars Eller, Kevin Hayes, Jesse Puljujarvi
Puljujarvi working with the second unit and Valtteri Puustinen just observing from the neutral zone suggests the fourth line is Hayes-Noel Acciari-Puljujarvi and Puustinen is the odd one out again after playing in Winnipeg.

Sounds like Sullivan is scratching him next game. Yay!
If this is true I hope Sullivan doesn't destroy Puljujarvi's joy and self confidence. Like I said Puljujarvi's points/60 is the 2nd best of the team and it seemed him and Eller had chemistry so why not place him to the 3rd line if Sullivan doesn't want him with Malkin.

I don't read DK because I imagine it gets him money. But thanks. Glad that Sully hasn't done something stupid like that yet.

Sullivan will absolutely do his best to destroy Pulujarvi; he's a petty man. This points to the GM bringing in JP after first discussing with Sullivan and overruling his request not to sign JP. Sully is poison. This franchise will deserve to be a dumpster fire that they will become for keeping HC Meathead.

Couldn't like this as I'm an outsider and can't say you deserve to be a dumpster fire, but it does seem it would be time to finally move on from Sullivan.

It's not the end of the world, but as Puljujarvi's supporter it's a shame to see such a promising start of the season (still clearly the 2nd best points/60) but him now playing less than 10 minutes in the 4th line.

I am pretty sure sooner or later Sullivan manages to break him if this goes on. I hate to bring the nationality card, but many of you guys have written Sullivan has a problem with European players so it'll be interesting to see how this develops.

Really weird that Puljujarvi isn't being played in a higher line, his p/60 is very good.

I say plop his big behind in front of the net on the PP. At least on the 2nd unit.

With his reach and skating we should be trying to integrate him into the PK as well.

He shared that role with Hyman in the Oilers for a long while and posted similar numbers, maybe even a bit better ones, but then that spot was given to Hyman and Puljujarvi was pretty much dropped out as the 2nd unit didn't get barely any PP time in the Oilers. Small sample sizes, but most of the times he had good /60 PP numbers, especially PP goals/60.

Not looking good for Jesse. I think he should ask for a trade, 0,5ppg and not even playing atm, i think he would have suitors.

I don't think he did enough wrong to get taken out of the line-up, there's a lot more that deserved to be healthy scratched over Puljujarvi. If anything, Kevin Hayes has played like he wants to sit in the press box and Sullivan keeps punishing Jesse Puljujarvi instead. It's mind boggling, the lad keeps busting his ass with the absolute shit minutes he gets and usage and he still gets shit on by Sullivan. The wild game - Beau, Hayes, and Acciari were all hot garbage and yet Puljujarvi was the one he made an example out of again.

JP's problem vs the Wild was he was with Hayes and to make it even funnier, Acciari was an absolute disaster in that game but he will never get taken out for it. But when you give a player less than 5mins at ES, how the f*** do you expect them to bounce back or earn it back? You can't.

Noel had a CF/CA of 5/15 and 25%, at even strength lol, only Beauvillier was worse. Both are also exempt from any sort of punishment from Sullivan, they aren't Euro enough.

Once again, Hayes was crap, this time so was Lizotte (maybe a lot of rust) so either he healthy scratches Hayes or more than likely Lizotte who should get games to get some of the rust off and take Hayes out for JP.
