Shoot…Monarchs made a big step and were so close to the playoffs!

@Tallasar - McDonald continues to have an interesting albeit underused career? Still only get third line minutes but his scoring rate in 67 games was a bit improved, his rating was good and he had a really nice plus/minus.

@Dakinjor - Povysil’s scoring was modest but he put up a ton of shots….surely his 5.9% shooting percentage will go up in future years…I foresee a big jump for him next season!

yes, a big step forward for the Monarch's and hopefully not a one timer!

Andy is still or has not the chance to excel his potential. Third line minutes in a bottom feeder team is not acceptable and it looks like he hasn't finished the season as he played only 67 games and missed the UK National team. Looking forward to the next season and some further improvements.

Neither Andy nor Petr are getting first line minutes from what it looks like, Povysil couldn’t score at all though sheesh hopefully we see a breakout season here soon or maybe it’s time to go full eichel on the coaching staff :naughty::naughty:

francis246's Top 10 Superstar Rankings (Season 8)
Player DetailsPrevious Season Rank (S6)Francis' Notes
1. RW/LW, Pavol Palffy 🇸🇰2 (^1)Palffy jumps up to the #1 spot. He's a foot and a head above the rest of the competition. Has developed quickly into a top NHL player and has really found his offensive game now in Philly.
2. G, Trusty Patches 🇳🇱3 (^1)Patches moves up 1 spot! He had an incredible season as the #2 goalie in Carolina. He had a 0.917 SV%, with 25 wins and 7 regulation losses. He's established himself as one of the top young goalies in the NHL.
3. C/LW, Radek Stanek 🇸🇰7 (^4)Stanek has continued to grow into a stud. The big Slovak center is proving that he can carry the load and be the future for Quebec. His numbers are steadily growing each season.
4. LD/RD, Ty Reynolds 🇨🇦NRTy Reynolds has finally arrived y'all. I feel like we've been waiting for this moment since he turned pro. We are finally seeing the offensive fire power he showed at Denver. He's progressing towards being an elite two-way dman.
5. C, Genghis Khan 🇲🇳NRSome might think I have Khan a bit high on this list. But for a grinder, he seems to be developing more and more each year. He's starting to find the back of the net more often. To have 32 points in a defensive role with a 7.42 Av R is amazing.
6. C, Petr Povysil 🇨🇦NRMany of us have spent time deciding what has been blocking Andy McDonald's progress in Kansas City. Could Povysil be the answer? He's been getting more opportunity and shooting a lot.
7. RW/LW, Herold Van den Berg 🇳🇱4 (ˇ3)Slight drop for Van den Berg but he has been one of the most consistent NHL'ers since getting called up to the show. I've loved tracking him because he's so consistent. He makes the most with limited opportunities.
8. LW/RW, Matiss Berzins 🇪🇪1 (ˇ7)Berzins dropped but he's still one of my favourite players. An ankle injury really limited his play time this year. But he was still so effective, putting up 30 points in 59 games with a 7.34 average rating. It's only a matter of time before he is flanking Auston Matthews and Mitch Marner on the LW
9. LW/RW, Reuben Harding 🇬🇧NRI always struggle to include my players in these things. But I think it's warranted in this case. Harding has a rocket of a shot and he shoots a ton. Despite only averaging 10 mins a night he was still able to put up 31 points and 20 goals. With more ice time I can see him having a big impact.
10. C, Andy McDonald 🇬🇧9 (ˇ1)A little drop for Andy McDonald, he's got a lot of work to do to continue to establish himself a real threat in the NHL. But maybe KC isn't the right fit for him. Despite the struggles he still put up a good 43 points.

Glad that Andy could help UK to promote on the WC this year, but another disappointing year in Kansas. Still 3rd line minutes can't be satisfying for him. If that not will change soon, he is not keen to extend his contract and want to leave to find a better team fit. Otherwise if he can play in Kansas a bigger role he is happy to stay.

Yeah disappointed all around in my hometown club. Povysil had a nice year and McDonald is solid but must not get on with the coach. Hopefully a wholesale change in head coaching and GM maybe after another lousy finish?

What a year for Palffy! Silver in World Championships for Slovakia is a step in the right direction for them. I’ll take +5 in current ability. Do you think it’s better to take potential or current based on my player ?
