francis246's Top 10 Superstar Rankings (Season 8)
Player Details | Previous Season Rank (S6) | Francis' Notes |
1. RW/LW, Pavol Palffy | 2 (^1) | Palffy jumps up to the #1 spot. He's a foot and a head above the rest of the competition. Has developed quickly into a top NHL player and has really found his offensive game now in Philly. |
2. G, Trusty Patches | 3 (^1) | Patches moves up 1 spot! He had an incredible season as the #2 goalie in Carolina. He had a 0.917 SV%, with 25 wins and 7 regulation losses. He's established himself as one of the top young goalies in the NHL. |
3. C/LW, Radek Stanek | 7 (^4) | Stanek has continued to grow into a stud. The big Slovak center is proving that he can carry the load and be the future for Quebec. His numbers are steadily growing each season. |
4. LD/RD, Ty Reynolds | NR | Ty Reynolds has finally arrived y'all. I feel like we've been waiting for this moment since he turned pro. We are finally seeing the offensive fire power he showed at Denver. He's progressing towards being an elite two-way dman. |
5. C, Genghis Khan | NR | Some might think I have Khan a bit high on this list. But for a grinder, he seems to be developing more and more each year. He's starting to find the back of the net more often. To have 32 points in a defensive role with a 7.42 Av R is amazing. |
6. C, Petr Povysil | NR | Many of us have spent time deciding what has been blocking Andy McDonald's progress in Kansas City. Could Povysil be the answer? He's been getting more opportunity and shooting a lot. |
7. RW/LW, Herold Van den Berg | 4 (ˇ3) | Slight drop for Van den Berg but he has been one of the most consistent NHL'ers since getting called up to the show. I've loved tracking him because he's so consistent. He makes the most with limited opportunities. |
8. LW/RW, Matiss Berzins | 1 (ˇ7) | Berzins dropped but he's still one of my favourite players. An ankle injury really limited his play time this year. But he was still so effective, putting up 30 points in 59 games with a 7.34 average rating. It's only a matter of time before he is flanking Auston Matthews and Mitch Marner on the LW |
9. LW/RW, Reuben Harding | NR | I always struggle to include my players in these things. But I think it's warranted in this case. Harding has a rocket of a shot and he shoots a ton. Despite only averaging 10 mins a night he was still able to put up 31 points and 20 goals. With more ice time I can see him having a big impact. |
10. C, Andy McDonald | 9 (ˇ1) | A little drop for Andy McDonald, he's got a lot of work to do to continue to establish himself a real threat in the NHL. But maybe KC isn't the right fit for him. Despite the struggles he still put up a good 43 points. |
